  3. I am in no way trying to discredit the integrity of the judging panel that was there for that night, nor am I saying that I could do what I do. All i am voicing is an opinion from what i saw that weekend. Thank you for your comment
  4. yea i would think you would say that, Haha, yall can drum for sure "Nah I think the 3rd place line was alright haha"
  5. I dont know if they werent as crisp, concidering there were 10 snares and they were amazing. But i think that as a whole, the line and the front were better than last year, and yes they were 4th last year but I thought they should of been at least 3rd this year
  6. Ok, After DCA championships is overwith, I have seen a trend with the overall placement of southern corps in this activity, especially with percussion when it comes to overall placement. The fact that the Corpsvets with 10th and ALLIANCE was only 6th was shocking to me, seeing these two groups a good bit over the season. Also, after attending championships and seeing the competition I am baffled on how these placements were decided. First off, the Corpsvets percussion were not the worst ones at finals. That battery was stronger than the bottom third in my opinion, and although having a weak front ensemble, still put out a impressive product, and a product not seen by this group yet. I would have personally put them in an 8th spot. Now to Alliance. I really don’t understand how that group could get placed in that low a spot considering the product put on the field an the high level of consistency and excellence. I saw no weak spots in the ensemble what so ever, and except for MBI, who was amazing btw, did not feel like any other ensemble measured to their level and ability. Its time to realize that the southern corps might be putting out a product that is competitive with the big dogs of DCA and really and i would love to see them in the future years in the top 5. There is my two cents and I am open for criticism.
  7. hey what about the DCA south scores, Alliance scored a 17.8 on the field and a 17.5 ensemble. The could be the ones to watch out for come champs, but i dont deny that Hurcs can play, always love their book
  8. "Battery was decent. I was slightly disappointed because they look good, but I thought they didn’t play very well while on the move. " I do not see this, seeing the recap and the points spread there is no way that this is possible
  9. did anyone catch the two senior corps, and maybe write a review of the two? Would love to hear some opinions
  10. 1. Crown 2. Cavies 3. BD 4. Cadets 5. SCV 6. Phantom Regiment 7. Bluecoats 8. Madison 9. Blue Stars 10. Boston 11. Spirit (Atlanta brings them back) 12.Glassmen
  11. [/quote I marched with and without the tic. I never want to see the tic again and as mentioned before it won't happen. If you check DCA scores in the 60's and 70's you will see there are many occasions where corps scores could jump 5 points from prelims to finals. You beat a corps be 3 points one weekend and lose to the same corps by 4 points a week later. That is why tics were awful, they allowed to much interpretation by the judge. I think the scores this year were right on from top to bottom. i have to dissagree on the fact that scores were not right this DCA finals. In the case of CorpsVets. They have been killing people in feet and guard all season, and then at finals they are sloted 10th. I do agree that the rest can be justified but not those two.
  12. does anybody know if there is going to be a corps starting up in Georgia, and someone needs to bring back Court Of Honor
  13. No matter what other people think, Carolina Crown is having the best start of a season that they have ever had. They will be a incredible force this year and other corps need to watch out
