Cadets2 question...
Kay replied to drumcorpsdrummerman2012's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
That is how I conclude otherwise. I am sure they will be very good, but I'm not putting any horse before a cart............. -
Does it matter really? Phantom Vanguard has been so quiet, they are going to come out and blow away the louses in Blouse!!!!

The Congratulations should go to DCA - you just go a real good guy as VP. Ok - congrats to all!

Cadets2 Auditions - What to expect?
Kay replied to b2trumpet's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
Right, because having civil open discussion is such a hindrance. First time ever in the history of DCP a thread skewed off a bit (yet still relative)................. -
Cadets2 Auditions - What to expect?
Kay replied to b2trumpet's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
I would agree with you if any of the responses were derogatory towards Cadets2, ,the responders were polite and just adding more information that the original poster may not be aware of. Nothing ever wrong with giving someone all the information out there, we are here to help one another and make it a strong circuit for all involved, right? With that being said, to the originator of this thread, perhaps this will help in further research: DCACORPS.ORG -
That would go over like a fart in church ($1 to my father, rip)

NOTHING is ever how it SEEMS

Factually incorrect. I have yet to read, from an official of any corps, how they stand on the electronics issue. Just because Member A, posts THEIR opinion on it, does not equate how the corps itself stands on the issue and how they will vote.

Well since Born in the USA is anything but a patriotic song, I can't see Empire ever playing it. I

Assuming they do come out and will be in the top tier. I'd like to think ALL the corps will be back in the mix next year, far more then "a third" corps to the mix. Congrats MN Brass!!

I still stand by what I already said, by the way I have attended DCA Congress's, anyone that thinks they are easily pushed around has obviously NEVER attended, talking to people is NOT the same. The member corps that make decisions on change are not easily bullied, and are not "new" to these processes. Some have been affiliated since before the inception of DCI. This isn't their first rodeo. In addition, this sure is getting a lot of attention or something that hasn't even happened yet. Seems like a lot of panic for "it may happen". The start of this potential new DCA corps is no more threat, then any other new corps, it's called keeping the activity alive. You may have little faith in the capabilities of DCA, it's decision making member corps but they've been around for quite some time. Surviving the cyclical changes our our society, this is no different. Changes will be made, they have been for the past 40 plus years, and some changes will be sure to #### off some of the previous generation, but it does not equate to the demise of the organization, in almost all cases, it actually makes it stronger, even if it's not "Back in my day..........."

Aug. 6 DCA Scores/Comments Thread
Kay replied to Fran Haring's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
I think I said this last year, but kinda cracks me up that the show in the South was in Woodstock, GA, when the show in the north is in Kingston, with Woodstock, NY being just down the road a few miles. -
MANY? HOW MANY CORPS HAVE YOU BEEN ASSOCIATED DIRECTLY THAT CAN MAKE SUCH A COMMENT, HAVE ACTUALLY SEEN THIS, OR THIS JUST AN ASSUMPTION ON WHAT YOU'VE HEARD..........
-
The point, that you are missing, is it was far from "a little heat". Even for where you grew up this would be considered oppressive.
