  1. Go CADETS! So happy with their score from Thursday night. They have clearly set themselves apart from that corps from Wisonsin!
  2. Been away for the past couple of seasons, but came back this year. I have watched the Cadets on 3 videos and am thrilled with what they put on the field this year. Very much jazzier than past shows but I like it the more I see it. Bravo!!
  3. Intellectual property theft is just wrong-- period. Just because it is intangible doesn't mean people should be able to take it whenever they want it. IP takes time, effort, skill, energy and will. Just like producing goods. Fight to change the laws if you think they are wrong. As for me, I'll cheer whenever someone gets busted stealing it. If the tables were turned the thieves would want payment. On a site whose participants understand the value of music and art, this shouldn't have to be said.
  4. Yes I donated. Yes I watched the broadcast. Last year I shared the next day about the music. Was asked to take it down.
  5. Interesting. I recall being chastised last year for revealing show information that was only shared with donors.
  6. I'm very willing to bet the YEA board members are not scrolling through 984 pages of posts on this board to determine the content of DCP'ers with GH. That's my point that something more direct is required. My point here is that people are typically willing to complain on social media about things, but never take the next step.
  7. After sitting on the board of two non profits where the CEO was fired I think that's very unlikely.
  8. So if they're in for Bernstein the next two years.....what I'd like to see: Fancy Free/On the Town--On the town was based on the Fancy Free ballet about Sailors who come to NYC on leave. Could be a great show with no narration and a fun story to tell. Plus the music is totally kick ###. Quite a bit of it has been played before but only a few times and most quite a few years ago. Chichister Psalms-- Actually quite a bit of it is very similar to Mass and I prefer Chichister over it. I was really hoping that was going to be the repertoire this year. If they use it, there are going to be complaints its too similar to this year. Jeremiah/Age of Anxiety--- Lots of good stuff in these two symphonies and plenty that hasn't been played before. Will be interesting to see what happens. I haven't given up on them.
  9. YEA is run by a non-profit board. George is the CEO. George works for the board. If you want to see a change in leadership then you need to get the board to see the need. Complaining about him on here will do nothing. https://yea.org/home/about All of their names are listed here on this page. Get your pencil and paper and put your effort where you typing fingers are.
  10. Wow, the tone in here has changed significantly since the last time I looked. Glad to see people not dogging the staff and the design now. It's about execution at this point!
  11. I'll be there! This is the 6th year I've come to this show. Closest big show to Baton Rouge! 2 tickets available on the 50 if anyone is looking. PM me.
  12. Just had two folks back out. Super Premium seat pair just off the 50 yard line. PM me and we can meet at the event. Lance
  13. I like the show. You don't. Different strokes.
