Introducing Orchesis, a new independent A guard from Clarksville, TN. Orchesis will be competing in the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit as well as Winter Guard International. Orchesis was found as a way for those that enjoy the activity ca come to an environment that is fun, educational as well as create memories that will last a lifetime. Orchesis is under the direction of Jason Maier, a recent transplant to the area from Dallas, TX who has been in involved in the guard activity for 10 years and is currently the director of Austin Peay State University Color Guard Program. Additional staff members and consultants include Keith McKeachie who also currently works with Identity Winter Guard a 2009 Independent A Class WGI Finalist and Ronald Wilson Who has worked with many great color guard programs in Texas including Ars Nova, Flower Mound and DeSoto High School. Additional Staff members will be announced through out the season. Orchesis will be holding an Open audition for anyone who may be interested in this new ensemble. The auditions will be held on Sunday October 11th at Austin Peay State University (Clarksville, TN, just north of Nashville) and will begin at 12:00 pm and conclude at 6:00 pm.
