  1. Sincere congratulations to the oldest continually operating corps in North America on the occasion of your 85th Anniversary. That you have served so many young people over the life of your corps is an awesome accomplishment. May you have another 85 years of service to youth. The Cadets' Alumni salute you.
  2. Congratulaltions to The Bluecoats on the occasion of your 40th Anniversary. It has been an honor and a privilege to have shared the field of competition with you over these many years. The Cadets' Alumni salute you.
  3. Glad you got the problem resolved. For others who might be having entry problems: it appears that some people have been having a frustrating experience getting into the new on-line Story of The Cadets. Some browsers it seems are a lot fussier than others If you're one of those people, we apologize for the annoyance this has caused you. We suggest that you change the site address by one digit...add a slash (/) on the end. http://www.theholynamecadets.net/ Hopefully that will work for you. Don't forget to turn on your speakers. Good luck.

  5. Sorry you're having problems with your audio Jim. Audio starts right from the cover page and continues throughout the book until the back cover. Is it possible you might have overlooked putting your speakers on? Quite a few people, it seems, didn't realize that there was audio and neglected to turn on their speakers. It might have something to do with your server as well, or the age of your computer.
  6. In response to the large number of young people marching this summer who are and will continue to be bus-captives for many hours, we have heard your plea. The on-line book staff of "The Story of The Cadets" is investigating different down-loading options that will permit you to download the book to your hand-held devices. We would very much like to find a mechanism that will work for both the visual and audio, so some time is being invested in narrowing down the possibilities. We will not, however, drag out the process so long that the season is gone before a downloading procedure is available to you. Suggestions that might prove helpful will be very much welcome. Please forward them to gjcmedical@aol.com. Safe travels and good fortune to all from The Cadets' Alumni.

  9. Sorry to disappoint, but all the contest result information you are looking for (mainly on major contests), can be found in The History of Drum and Bugle Corps, Volume 2, sold by Steve Vickers of Drum Corps World and also by Drum Corps International. The Cadets do not maintain records of contest placements or scores.
  10. To horn and soccer: "awesome. is there a way to get it as a pdf or ebook (with or without the audio)? it would be easier to read through offline while on the road. just a thought. " ============================================================== There are plans for a downloadable version, but I can't give you a time frame just yet.

  25. The Cadets and Cadets Alumni would like to join with all who have posted their good wishes for a speedy recovery to Tom in a preceding thread. We would also like to thank him for writing this article while undoubtedly dealing with his serious health issues. The January on-line edition of Drum Corps World features a very positive and supportive article on Cadets2 by Tom Peashey, long-time (recently retired) Director of Marketing for Drum Corps Associates (see pages 43-44). You can register for a FREE subscription to Drum Corps World by going to http://www.high-velocity-media.com Sincere thanks go to Tom and Steve Vickers of DCW for granting permission to share this article with Cadets2 members, prospective members, Cadet Alumni, parents, instructors, supporters, and others interested in the launch of Cadets2 in 2012.
