Hello All, This is just a note to let you all know how rehearsal went on Sunday Dec14 in Bayonne..... I was surprised when i walked into St Andrews Sunday.......for a Dec rehearsal so close to the holidays and all, we had a great turnout....the color guard grew in size...from what i hear its the biggest guard to date for the B-men... the good news is that they are looking for more !!!!!!! Jan rehearsal dates can be found on Bridgemen.com.... We started to put our opener together with horns and drums....its was shakey the first time, but then it came together pretty good for Dec Spanish Dreams was basically the same..... The Drumline was working on a new Dennis Delucia drum solo....I really think the fans are going to enjoy this one !!!!!! any drummers want a challenge ????? come on down in Jan The Hornline is getting tighter and larger a super turnout for Dec....they are produceing a nice full "loud" but controlled sound.....thumbs up for the horn techs !!!!!!! We can still use more people in every section, so if you want to march with the Bridgemen the clock is ticking...... George "the director" said he is going to close new membership soon......so again if you want to march get to Bridgemen.com and get in touch with george and let him know...... This season is going to be the best the Bridgemen put on the field so far since our return....its gonna be a blast for sure.. See you all in Jan Rick #3

Hello ALL, I just wanted to supply all of you with the next practice date for the Bridgemen.... The hornline has 2 new songs done already and the drumline has 2 new songs done already.... and what does this mean to you all ? I means that you and yours can come down to St Andrews school at Broadway and 4th St in Bayonne to witness how the 2 sections put this musical powerhouse together........and the DATE IS DEC 14TH 12-6 pm !!!!!!! ALL are welcome, and you dont have to be an alumni to join......... See you all there Rick Tabor #3 Now is your chance to march with the Bridgemen !!!!!!! The Hornline and Drumline have 2 songs under our belt already and we will be putting it all together on the above date.....The color guard will also be at this practice doing some fantastic things..... SO come on down and check it out....you dont have to be an alumni to join, you just have to have the desire to entertain and have fun......... See ya all there Rick #3

I agree with you Jim !!!!!! and after the competetion relaxing and enjoying a cold frostee (beer) with friends in our corp and other corps. I do remember this day like it was yesterday..... We (the Bridgemen) traveled all night to get to this show hehe i forgot where it was... we were late and they held the show for us so we could compete....we aside that it was a day show and about a zillion degrees out, I remember gettting off the bus feeling like crap......had to dress fast, warm up fast and get on the field......well by this time i was getting dizzy and really feeling like crap.....the year was 1978 and we set up in the arc's in the opener, Jimmy (DM) said mark time march and thats all i remember......I passed out like a 6-4 250lb _________ !!!!!! you guys can fill the blank in LOL.... Next thing i know im in a building with cold AC with ice all over me and i started to feel good and who do i see walking past ? well that would be my pal from the 27th lancers John Mauro (sp) and in his Boston accent said to me that when i was done laying around in here he has some cold beers waiting ........ needless to say i was up and out for sure lolol i dont remember who won that show, but I do remember who my friends are !!!!! Drumcorps..........if i had to do my life all over, I would do it all over again !!!!!! For all you youngsters out there legal drinking age in 1978 was 18 Rick Tabor #3

Hey Jim, This thread WAS in the DCI section and they moved it here after like 2 and a half weeks..... and i know there are no age outs in alumni or DCA corps lololol smart --- !!!!! also if i did start another thread they probably would kick it back to this section again..... their might be some on the fencers in here wanting to play some Delucia drum parts..... and BTW he out did himself this season.....nice stuff, really nice tastey parts...your gonna like em.... and just remember this one word....."SICKNESS"..... Just a fast update gang, The first weekend camp for the Bridgemen drumline is over and what a weekend it was !!!!!!!! We covered lots of material......a new exercise, and 2 charts were learned..... We had a few new faces and many returning members......we could use more !!!! Hey Drack thanks for asking.......they found a little more damage than expected......but its fixed and hurts like hell, but im alive and ready for the season baby :) Im going to try to get to sundays rehearsal if i can....the happy pills do take a toll on ya lol and dont tell my wife i said im going hahahahaha thanks again for asking Rick now if i can make it to rehearsal everybody can ....... come on people this weekend in Bayonne !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mannnnnnnnnnnnnnn what a way to cap off a super weekend.....The Bridgemen had a outstanding rehearsal and the New York Football GIANTS took it to the Eagles.......... Its not to late gang to get on board with the Bridgemen........the hornline sounded great for learning Spanish Dreams on Saturday....by the time run thru's came it sounded better and better each time they played it.....and yes some lips were hurting but that didnt stop this hornline.....llike the Giants did in Philly the hornline left everything they had in St Andrews hall.......GREAT JOB GUYS AND GALS !!!!!!! The color guard was upstairs working their butts off too......man the things they are doing look pretty good....im not a color guard person to be honest with you all but from what I see.......I like it alot !!!!!!! The 8TH is here and gone now......another page in the Bridgemen 2009 season has just been turned....The hornline sounded great with the first notes and than the entire Spanish Dreams score completed....Lots of memories came flowing out from the old memory banks lol AND YOU KNOW WHAT THE BEST PART IS ????????? All of you can still make it tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!! YES I said it....all hornplayers that what to throw down or just check it out can come to Bayonne tomorrow at 12 noon for another afternoon of in your face drumcorps...... either way you decide its going to be a great day....color guard will be practicing also ......all you guard people out there come on and check it out.. DRUMMERS; The Bridgemen Drumline will be rehearsing NEXT WEEKEND Nov 15th and 16th !!!!!!!!!! All you guys and gals come on down and check it out !!!!! I do have a special request for pit people that want to perform but dont have the time to compete......we can work it out.... By some of the numbers , some of you out there took advantage of the invitation and stopped by today....and i did notice horns in there hands and smiles on their faces......Contras looked good but a few more wont hurt !!!!!!! come on contra players out there......get the lips ready and come on down !!!!!! Hiya Gang, Im writing to remind all of you that maybe thinking of coming to Bayonne to check the Bridgemen out that its almost November........the 8th and 9th to be exact at St Andrews Parish Hall 4th St and Broadway in good ole Bayonne, NJ The corps is going to do amazing things this year, we are doing very well for this time of the year but we want you !!!!! Drack Read the thread pages and you will notice that i HAVE asked for contra players too......and everybody knows that the BASS in the drum section and the CONTRA'S in the hornline hold the corp together !!!!!!
