  1. I remember when they had 21 corps on before 12 noon !!!!!!
  2. I was with Dubie all last weekend (allentown) rehearsing with the Bridgemen Alumni drumline and let me just say that he has not changed one bit. He is still as intense as ever, will call you out if you dont know the parts, but most of all he pushes to get the best out of everybody in the line. Dennis Delucia with the help of Dubie makes the Alumni corp feel as close to the Jr corp as possible, and let me add that i will march in their drumlines till I cant breath anymore. I waited over 2o years to be part of the Bridgemen again, and not only did they come back to life, they did it with the original instructors !!!! at first we were all a little rusty, but we're finally coming into our own. Dennis and Dubie it dont get too much better than that baby !!!!!!!
  3. A regular Les Paul huh?????? manoman Benny lmao Rick
  4. TRADER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! turn in your sticks LOL Good luck to all of youse guys and gals Rick #3 GO BIG BLUE !!!!!!!!!
  5. ok its Bridgemen rehearsal is about 12 and a half hours away........got gas in the car? do you have the directions to Bayonne? Did you put your equiptment in the car? well if you answered yes to these questions I'll see you at 12 tomorrow at St Andrews parish hall....... Rick #3
  6. I agree with you 100% as the kids say now a days "there were haters back then too". If ya win too much people start to root for the underdog sooner or later....look at the Yankees. Its just the way it is in competion plain and simple. example: your at a football game and the visiting team scores a touchdown.....are you going to stand and applaud ????? I thnk not, heck you might even boo the home team defense!!!!!!! This is mho and nothing else.....it maybe be right or wrong but im sticking to it.
  7. Hey Benny, I just wanted to drop youse guys a line to wish youse luck tomorrow !!!!!!! Its gonna be a tough road to hoe but it looks like you have the right people in the right place. We also have rehearsal this weekend and im all geeked up and excited (gonna miss you up here Bro) anyway good luck and kick a-- Rick #3
  8. In a little over 24 hours the Bridgemen will start a weekend camp....... Those of you who are on the fence on who to march with this year owe it to yourselves to come by and take a look on whats happening in Bayonne. Those of you who play the horn will most definitely be impressed with the professionalism, size, and power of our hornline. The instructors are world class, and our working hard on all those little things that make a hornline sound even better (im in the drumline and all i know is that it sounds great) Those of you who play drums........man if you dont check it out, your missing out on possibly one of the best drumlines around.....how can you miss with the instructors we have(Dennis Delucia, Bobby Dubinski, Pat Scollin, Ron Dolce, and last but not least John Yurkin)The charts are smoking with 2 songs already learned and pushing foward for another song and maybe a drum solo (only my guess) snares are smoking with a mix of old and new blood quints are well let me say excellent bassline oh baby all sections are still open !!!!!!! if ya got what it takes come on down and lay it on a drum !!!!!! Color guard.....now they have taken a huge step this season so far......the ladies are working their collective butts off with their new instructor Scott They look great at rehearsal getting better and better but they can use a few more people in the guard, so if colorguard is your thing and your looking for some great guard work.......check it out this weekend !!!!!!! also as an added perk this weekend (SUNDAY) we will have up to the minute scores on the GIANTS - dallas game !!!!!!!!!! and after practice you can watch the G-men finish off the cowgirls at our home away from home "DA POST" !!!!!!! Well Im done for now, hope to see lots of new faces this weekend.......stop by and say hello !!!! Im #3 bass cant miss me LOLOL Rick Tabor #3 Bayonne Bridgemen
  9. When i aged out in 79 it was a relief in away....after championships i had to fly home and than right to WVU for football practice. I did that for my last 2 years and in that time i didnt even think of Drum Corp "didnt have the time" or doing another show for that matter, but when my daughter started in her high school marching band i started to think of the old days again and started to get the itch. The Bridgemen started up again in my daughters senior year and i joined right away "and yes i wanted that feeling again" and what was even better is that my daughter who fell in love with the Bridgemen from the DVD's joined with me, so i got the best of both worlds !!!!!!! After great years with your drum corp its good to get away and do the life thing for awhile, but in the back of your mind your always gonna want to be back on the field doing what you LOVED as a kid, and in my case i got to do it again and with my daughter as a bonus !!!!!!! I hope all of you have the same luck as i had and when your in your 30's 40's 50's "and God willing you will be" you can recapture some of your younger days and hopefully with one of your kids and in the same corp you started with......... HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !!!!!!!! Rick Tabor "Bridgemen"

The best thing is that the invitation is open to EVERYONE !!!!!!! now is your chance to be a Bridgemen...........just do it........you wont be sorry ......... The open house will answer all of your questions and you will meet instructors, corp members, and get right into the 2008 show ( which is going to be smokin)!!!!!!!!!! Hey even if ya want to just check it out, come on down !!!! the pizza is great in Bayonne so it wont be a wasted trip !!!!!! When ya come down just look for the tall guy on #3 bass... come on over and say hello Id like to meet ya Hope to see you all Rick
