  1. Yes Patrick Im a MOUNTAINEER !!!!!!! and in the old days 1976-1979 I marched with the Bridgemen and played football for WVU.....right after finals I caught a plane home, repacked, and right to morgantown by God WV........yes it was a little crazy and yes I did about 1000 punishment miles for being late (excused by the way) but it was well worth it and do it again in a heart beat......
  2. Tom The Buccaneers are one of the corps I never seen in my entire drum corps career !!!!!!! I truly want to fix that on the night of the TOS. I heard great things about this corp and am looking forward to seeing it for myself, in person and in my face ; ))))) See ya in Bayonne Rick Tabor #3
  3. I cant believe it ....a weekend without any drum corps...thought I wouldn't miss it but I do....Im getting into gear for a great season and I just want to keep the ball rolling. I'll get my fix very soon and maybe this year I will be able to see more fantastic corps that I have missed over the last few years.... The TOS is my best chance to see everybody its a great lineup and like another poster said....there is a little bit of every style at this show for everybody......personally I cant wait !!!!!! Man I sound like an 18 year old going to his first show......wait a sec, I do feel like an 18 yo when Im with my buds in Bayonne !!!!!! Hope to see you all there Rick #3 13th

  11. Hey Todd....Hows it going? I guess winning is more important to more than I think......BUT think of it.....a corp just played a kick a-- first half of the show.....than somehow "Im not a drill inst" the drumline winds up on the 50......10 snares, 5 quints, 6 bass.......a full pit.......all looking at the drum major drooling and waiting for him/her to say mark time.....then bang a full drum solo a smoker being played, hands flying , expressions on the drummers faces say ....go ahead....find a mistake.....in your face drumming......snare feature, tenor feature, bass feature, heck even the cymbols get into the act.....pit playing off the charts.....everthing clicking, no tempo problems, crowd getting into it.....coming to the end and than what every drummer has been sweating for, getting blisters for, the endless rehearsals, sectionals, standing in the sun for............the crowd gets on their feet and you hear a roar that most of us will probably never hear again in our lives..........Dats what Im talking about.......and thats one of the little perks that Drum Corps gives each and everyone of us....past and present....
  12. I agree with you Mike.....Im in the drumline also and in my day "yes Im an ole timer" you looked foward to hearing and watching a kicka-- drumline do there stuff......In todays DC the lines are SO talented that they SHOULD throw-down and play .....to me winning isnt everything....its all about the people in the stands.....Id rather have hundreds of people watching practice and warmups smiling and having a great time while the drumline is laying down a groove.......BUT getting back to todays drumlines.........PLAY A DRUM SOLO....... with the talent today, I could just imagine what youse guys and gals can come up with ; ))))))))) Good luck all in 2007 and I will be watching Rick
