My biggest complaint about the black uniforms is that unless the Cadets win tonight everyone assume it was because of the uniforms. And maybe there will be some truth in it, but there will be no way to know. To me it was a gamble that didn't need to be taken.

Just weighing in after 223 pages of posts. This year's Crown show is one of the greats of all time. There is no need to go into details that so many others have already discussed. I just wanted to add my voice as someone who is pulling for Crown to win the Championship.

If anything sways Mr. Hopkins to forsake the black uniforms it will be if the Cadets' score suffers, but if even if they slip in their scores I can't imagine George switching back. Too much invested at this point.

Speaking of respecting the past: It was so fun to see another elderly lady today at the city market wearing an old Bridgemen tshirt.

I don't like the black uniforms. I just don't.

Oh my good Lord! That is the best show of the season. It is so mesmerizing and visceral and while there are a number of quality shows this year nobody draws the crowd in like Crown.

That show makes me very happy. Thank you Scouts!

Wow! Regiment's show has come a long way! The last half was wonderful.

I really like the Cavaliers' show this year. I have always been partial to their drill and overall style.

Does anyone have that hollow (like listening in a seashell) sound between shows? Wondering what that is?

Is there any way to tell if the static issues with the vocalist's microphone in Atlanta hurt the Troopers' score?

Scores for the Troopers are fairly parallel with their scores last year. 80.60 this time last year. Not sure that means anything.

I wish I could take the credit, but I will pass along your compliment to my grandson next time he comes over. I hate to admit it but he always brings his computer when he comes to visit because it is rather boring here. Sometimes I scribble one of my ideas on a piece of scrap paper for him to make look fancy. It helps keep him busy and lets me keep watching American Ninja Warrior. You must admit though, that my ability to make posts on this website are pretty impressive for a lady my age.

Mr. GeneralTsoChicken (for some reason I'm hungry for Asian cuisine all of of a sudden), your point is well made and I concur. We can go back a show or forward a show or two and make the numbers read the way we want them to. For example I could go back 5 days and show that the Troopers' score has decreased by .45 points I'm not trying to stir up sympathy for the Troopers so much as question how scores can completely stagnate for an 11-day period of time. That seems unusually extended to me.

In this same 11 day span here are the upticks in some random corps: Scouts: +5.15 Crossmen: +5.00 Blue Stars: +4.95 Blue Devils: +4.20 Crown: +4.05 Colts: +3.35 Blue Knights: +3.30 Bluecoats: +3.20 Academy: +2.175 Troopers: +0.90

I'm confused.

Some think the visual is the problem, but this is where everything goes wrong for the 2015 Troopers: The following is from the Troopers production materials--"Scene one paints the scene of the wide open spaces of the West. The pack of wild horses takes the field with energy and conviction and runs free throughout the movement. Scene two sees one of the herd being fenced in with attempts to tame the wild soul. The final scene is about breaking free. We see the lone horse join back with the herd and run free, all while various attempts are made to capture and tame the entire pack."

I am interested to know how the singing factors into the overall judging? Madison Smith has a beautiful voice suited for the theme of this show (regardless of my own personal opinion about vocals). However, what I heard through the webcast yesterday was a young lady catching her breath and really struggling to hold pitch. Was it just me, or did anyone else hear this? And...does this impact the score at all?

Would love to see a little of the ice element from the lowest level. That is one of the great shows of all time in my opinion. To me it has some of the same feel of momentum that Spartacus had in 08.

I really really love the Troopers but I must say this is a little bit like the Twilight Zone for me with them in this slot. Strange. I hope they make the most of it!

I always love the Cavaliers' drill. It is so entertaining and visually pleasing.

Spartacus may have been a "mess" at this point in the season but there was no doubt that the masses loved it. Everyone was just holding their breath hoping they could clean it enough to win. Apples and Oranges between 08 and this year.

Here comes the warm-up corps for the Troopers. ;)

I hope so because I LOVE Phantom and whenever they are successful we all benefit!
