omg I shudder at that phrase. I remember using that just a few weeks ago with my younger cousins and they looked so appalled, like "off the chain" was akin to someone using the word "groovy." I felt old.

Looks like SCV added some recorded vocals at the beginning of their show based on a YT vid from a recent show. Is this the first instance of SCV ever using recorded vocals? Granted, the vocals are very short and only at the beginning of the show. And it sounds like a bunch of voices speaking different languages--goes well with the theme!

It definitely reminds me of SCVs 2016 Force of Nature opening moment, which gave me absolute chills. When I first heard of SCVs repertoire this year, I honestly thought they were going to use My Body is a Cage as their opening segment in a similar way they opened 2016... slow build up to a fantastic pinnacle.

Are you sure you want my thoughts? lol. My favorite corps has always been SCV so I'm probably biased. But thank you for the upvotes--I'm glad there are people out there that can have conversations with differing opinions in a respectful manner. Those are always the most fun.

I totally get it. But for the general audience, I would imagine that, at each respective tier, a more entertaining show will likely garner an enthusiastic standing ovation rather than a mild one. I just find it kind of unfair when people automatically downplay "their team's" lower placement regardless of metric (scores or standing Os). They make it sound like the only reason a team got an enthusiastic reaction was because their team is hated for their previous success; thus, downplaying the winning team's success undeservedly so. And again, I'm guilty of that as well but I try not to do that!
