  1. Wow... You really don't know what you're talking about, do you...
  2. Crown WAS beaten in brass last night! I'm glad SOMEBODY finally got it right... thanks George Boulden. GO BLOOO!
  3. Thank you, StickTrick. I'm glad SOMEONE on here appreciates true musicianship and cutting-edge drum corps. Go BLOO!
  4. I had the chance to see the Bluecoats and Crown this summer already, and let me tell you, there is not enough "breathe-dah" pixie dust in the world to stop the Bluecoats! GO BLOOO!!!

  7. Is this seriously a discussion? The answer is clear. 1987. Period. Close thread.
  8. They are strong, no question... but just because you can hear them above the ensemble doesn't make them great, nay the best.
  9. 2004 - Arguably the best "top 3" of all time 2008 2000 2006 2007 2004 2003 2005 2001
  10. To a point, the judges aren't judging the fantastic brass sound you're hearing... they are judging CONSISTENCY; of articulation, sound quality, dynamics, inflection, etc... And not only that, but they do it on the field, a place you are not. My thoughts are that the judges heard, at field level, the regiment and devils be more consistent player to player than Crown. Do I think from the stands that Crown has the best brass section? Sure. At field level, where the Ott is won... not sure.
