  1. Ok, I have removed some posts that were just bickering. We can refrain from that sort of back and forth, thanks.
  2. Ok, I am cleaning up some posts. Let's keep things on topic/refrain from name calling.
  3. A whole group of us drove overnight from Scranton back to Fredonia and Oswego State in 03 since we had classes Monday. It was rough. I think we rolled in about an hour and a half before my 8am Theory III class. Not fun.
  4. I can assure you we were not. The pressbox was like a concrete block and fiberboard shanty building with no windows. It was more like a sideways rain windtunnel directly shooting in, even 15ft back. Never forget, Kevin, never forget. (Though thankful there were no podium spills for you )
  5. Schools don't start classes until after Labor Day in NY. Most Wednesday the 3rd, and some Tuesday the 2nd.
  6. The "Like Post" icon will not appear on your own personal posts. It shows up to others members to "like", and then will list those "likes" if someone clicks the button.
  7. Ok, we can stop with any personal attacks/name calling. I have removed some posts. Let's keep it on topic.
  8. Hi Marwan! At least some these debates are a little more sedate than some that have been on FB lately ;)
  9. I am just here keeping an eye on things. :) Wish I could have sprung for finals stream. It has not been the best summer for me being able to see drum corps!
  10. Just a reminder to keep things on topic and avoid getting close to something resembling personal attacks, especially tonight. Thanks.
  11. As someone who has sat next to Kevin at DCA many times, it is pretty impressive!
  12. Closing this. Please see John's post above and head over. Thanks!
  13. It was actually a good show when at the now Coca-Coca Field (fka Pilot Field/Dunn Tire Park). The park is considered one of the better ones in Minor Leagues, especially being downtown. I am from Jamestown. The Casino is still in Bemus. Haven't been there in a few years, but it has gone downhill considerably even since then. The Anchor Bar is pretty much a tourist trap now in my opinion. Wings are bad and you can get much better at most local pizza places or bars.
  14. I am also not going. The winter killed UB's turf so it had to be replaced (You'd think this would be noticed around April, not July) and I am pretty sure with all The Ralph updates, they knew last year it wasn't going to be held there. I felt the ticket swap wasn't handled that well, especially right at 4th of July weekend. By the time I found out/was able to try to get tickets, I wasn't going to pay $40+ to sit low or $30+ to be on the 30 by myself. I somehow got a postcard for the show last week with my name at my parents' house (a new address that didn't exist until this February as my parents built a house) when I haven't lived with my parents in 8 years. Zach, Pretty sure Duff's (on Sheridan/Millersport) closes probably by 9 or 10 on Sunday. If you want to travel downtown or to S Buffalo, try Gabriel's Gate or Nine-Eleven Tavern.
  15. This is what happens when you are under the influence of Moon Pies...
  16. I have unapproved some posts here. Let's keep it on topic... Thanks.
  17. I saw a Facebook post from SCV with the age outs with their green feathers.
  18. Please note the guidelines regarding politics, etc. I'd kindly ask that we stay a little more on topic/civil. Thanks.
  19. I just got home and decided to get the stream for the first time ever. So far, so good. I (and other) DCP staff will be around so if any issues, hit the report button.
  20. I was there, and luckily got in ok compared to everyone else, I guess. I got out of my car at about 6:55. I parked parallel to Abbott Rd and I guess there was the large line to get in that went back towards the field house (which I couldn't even see until I got up to the gate), but a 2nd line that I was in that was like around the side of the stadium. It was going slow and then they seemed to have us come around really fast as they had more security. When I went in, there were at least 6-8 security personnel, but only 4-5 ticket scanners. I don't know if my whole line was moved ahead or what they did, but I was only in line for like 20-25 minutes. Maybe some of the extra people they brought over when I got up to the gate then had to go to other assignments in the stadium? I didn't see anyone getting frisked. They had metal detector wands. I only brought a small wristlet because I didn't know if the new NFL stadium rules (small clutches/wristlet or clear bags only) were in effect as they have been talking about. I opened my wristlet for the guy and then they didn't even wand me. I was sitting right on the 50 on the level of the tunnel (first row of premium seating) and they was nearly a mutiny during Cadets between people behind me mad with people coming in during Cadets and those in the tunnel. Though from what I could see in the tunnels in the next section, they were letting people in during Cadets and then PR. It was impossible to move between corps, I didn't dare get up as a lot of the people that went to the concourse never got back for next corps. I will say that I had many corps staff members near me as the seat next to me first in the row off of the tunnel was empty (guessing since view semi-obstructed due to wheelchair platform/guest seat in front of it) and they all asked if they could sit there and were good audience members since I know some people have made comments regarding that recently. I have been to other Buffalo shows and there were no problems like this. Also note that they haven't had concerts at RWS since 2001.
