  1. I'm a Jet fan too, since the beginning and won't change....and look what they did from last year to this year. No one gave them a chance and they showed up in the playoffs. Keep that in mind as you see the progress with SKY this year!
  2. Can't wait to get the full program rolling this weekend. I have been listening to the midis of the first two parts of the show and they are great. They have the true New York Sound in a very exciting and current style. Mr. Poulan has caught the essence of SKY in a truly unique production. "Murder in Manhattan" is absolutely the best show we have had in many years. The rehearsal is open to any and all that want to stop by to sit in, but be advised that once you start to play it, you will want to spend the season with us. This year's show is going to be the beginings of a new and exciting time in the SKYLINERS long history. Join us as we start the comeback of one of the most fan favorite drum corps of all time!
  3. The turn-out may have been a little light for the open house, however, those in attendance played through most of the opener of “Murder in Manhattan”. I have played SKYLINER music from the 50’S, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s either as a performer in the competitive corps or as an alumni and I have to say this years’ show is quintessential SKYLINERS. The opening of the show brings back the sounds of the SKYLINERS horn line with a vengeance. It is classic SKYLINERS in every way! I would definitely recommend that you stop by the next rehearsal on Sunday, December 17, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Dover Post to experience the sound for yourself. If you ever considered being a SKYLINER, or returning for ONE MORE YEAR!!!, believe me…THIS IS THE YEAR. Come be part of the resurgence of the Sounds, the Sights, and the Attitude that is NEW YORK!
  4. 4 more days to the open house. SKYLINER fans get ready for something special. Stop by the Dover Post on Sunday, December 3rd to see and hear first hand what all the excitement is about! SKY is planning a major comeback this year and we want you to be a part of it. So plan on visiting us and be ready to be impressed. SKY 2007 - "Murder in Manhattan"
  5. SKYLINERS OPEN HOUSE!! Ok you had the chance to visit most of the other DCA corps open houses. Now is the time to stop by at SKY. This Sunday, December 3rd, at the Dover AL Post 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Stop in and say hello and play or just listen to the original Key Poulan opener for 2007. This is going to be the most exciting SKYLINER Corps to hit the field in many years, don't miss out on the first opportunity to be a part of the rebirth of one of the most beloved drum corps in history.
  6. Just to clarify our show a little: "Murder in Manhattan" is an original show by award winning composer Key Poulan. To give "Murder in Manhattan" a contemporary competitive edge, the 2007 Design Team has decided to infuse it with some of the greatest music ever played by the New York Skyliners, such as Elks Parade, Harlem Nocturne, Little Old New York and other selections.
  7. Well there it is! You have seen the staff announcements and now you have the show concept. The only thing left is to visit the open house on December 3rd at the Dover AL Post. All welcome to come and sit in and experience the beginning of the 2007 season... SKYLINER STYLE!
  8. Glad to have you back Mark. Your talents are going to be a great addition to what is shaping up as an awesome staff.
  9. Good luck to Nick on his retirement. Best of luck to the new administration, hope all goes well for the Corps. Lets get back to competing with each other for the top spot!
  10. The open house is getting close, but not fast enough. The excitement in-house is growing more each day. Make sure you are there on December 3rd, to find out the rest of what we will be doing this year. This WILL BE the most exciting Corps Sky has fielded in a long, long time. Come check us out: seatbelts and shoulder harnesses on - it is going to be a great ride!!!
  11. We are absolutely thrilled to have an arranger of the caliber of Key with the Skyliners. We have always been known for our big horn sound and with Key arranging this year, you can be assured that the SKYLINER sound will be back. Stop by and check us out, all are welcome, the doors will always be open (so that we don't damage the ceiling!!) 2007 SKYLINERS will once again be the Corps everyone knows and loves!
  12. It doesn't get any better than this! Welcome to the Skyliner family.
  13. Well Lou, Your grammar hasn't gotten any better, and who ever said you were loud? Remember I know the guys who carried you for years!!! Anyway, on a serious note, good luck getting Heat Wave back on the field. I am looking forward to seeing you at DCA again. Best of luck. ....Oh, at least you can tell time!
  14. Wow can you feel the love. It's so nice to see all the wonderful support from all, including our competitors. Keep those cards and letters coming!! Sky 2007 will be an exciting place to be.
