  1. Congratulations Scouts on a great season. I can't express how great it is that the Scouts put on a show that a long-time (i.e. old) fan can enjoy. I am already looking forward to next season!
  2. My favorites are: (1) Carolina Crown; (2) Madison Scouts; and (3) Phantom Regiment.
  3. From what I have seen so far on the Fan Network, relatively few corps are cluttering up the field with distracting props this year. This makes for a much more enjoyable drum corps show experience for me.
  4. Thanks for cluing me in about "hi" v. "main." Hi has a much better picture. I really enjoyed Spirit's show. All the shows tonight have been entertaining.
  5. During the Troopers show they used multi cameras a few times. No multi cameras since. I agree that it is nice to see shows that do not clutter the field with distracting props.
  6. I am really enjoying watching so many entertaining shows! It is so refreshing after watching the same old, same old last night.
  7. Are there any multi-cam shows this year? I really miss the multi-cam shows.
  8. WOW! What a great, great, show, PR. My favorite show of the night!
  9. I have really been impressed with the quality of the broadcasts this year, but the audio seems to be having problems tonight. I am surprised the live audience isn't more into the shows -- mostly polite applause.
  10. I watched the recording of the Minnesota show and, boy, were the Scouts ENTERTAINING. The crowd went wild and the Scouts received the loudest response from the audience at that show. I don't know (or care) what "dirty" is but I sure know an entertaining show when I see it.
  11. GREAT SHOW, Madison Scouts! This is a show that really connects with its audience. What more can a drum corps fan ask for? It is also a show that is fun to watch numerous times. I will only get to watch it live once so I greatly appreciate the DCI Fan Network. Keep up the great work, Scouts!
  12. I attended this show and clearly the crowd favorite was the Scouts. My impression, however, is that that Phantom had more "homers" in attendance than the Scouts -- it was a Phantom home show. I am a Scouts "homer," but I am a big fan of Phantom's show. It doesn't get any better than Puccini. Nonetheless, the Scouts' show has more impact moments that reached the crowd. I doubt that the Scouts thought there was a lack of audience energy. Phantom had the misfortune of following the Scouts.
  13. It is unbelievable that all the corps could perform so well under such adverse circumstances. Thank you Scouts for that awesome encore!
  14. That is exactly what I was thinking when I saw the judging panel.
  15. Good job Scouts! Keep up the good work.
  16. This is by far my favorite show of all the shows available on the Fan Network. I would not be suprised if this show is the fan favorite this season.
  17. I didn't know that BD, Crown or Cadets were competing in this show tonight. It would be a miracle if any of those three won in Sioux Falls!
  18. My three favorites are: Madison Scouts, Boston Crusaders and Phantom Regiment.
  19. As much as I would love to attend another finals at Camp Randall in Madison, with climate change upon us and the huge extremes we are seeing in the weather, I think it makes sense to have it inside in Indianapolis.
  20. It is a real joy to support the Madison Scouts. This is a corps that has brought crowds to enthusiastic standing ovations all over the country. I am so happy I was able to see this show in person. Keep up the great work, Scouts, these last three days!
  21. It looks like the Scouts have added red flags to their show (from a photo on the Scouts' facebook page.) I was wondering if it is possible for a knowledgeable person to spot any changes to the drill from looking at the practice photos posted on the "thetowntalk.com" (LA newspaper) and Scouts' facebook sites.
  22. So, someone who joined this site a few days ago is lecturing people who have been posting on DCP since 2002? If he/she needs to blather, he/she can start his/her own thread. I don't understand this compulsive need by trolls to blather on the Scouts thread. Possibly, they are jealous of the Scouts large and strong fan base.
  23. I love it when the people in the stands go crazy over the Scouts show. To me, that is what Drum Corps is all about.
  24. I am primarily a Scouts fan, but by no means do I dislike the Blue Stars. Although I live in Chicago, I consider my self a Wisconsinite -- I was born, raised and educated in Wisconsin and I am a life-long fan of the Packers and Badgers. So, I consider myself to be a fan of both the Scouts and the Blue Stars. In fact, I contributed to the Blue Stars several years ago when the Blue Stars almost folded. I also really enjoyed the Blue Stars shows in 2008 and 2009. But this year, I think the Scouts show is clearly the more entertaining show. The only thing I find objectionable is when a few avid Blue Stars fans continually make provocative posts on the Scouts thread. Why can't they make those post on the Blue Stars thread?
  25. I predict that the Madison Scouts will WOW the audience into a frenzied standing ovation!
