Impulse Drum & Bugle Corps will have an information booth at the 8th annual SCJA California State Band Championships held at Huntington Beach High School Saturday November 22, 2014. If you are at the show please stop by the booth. Volunteers will be there for the entire day.

Impulse Drum & Bugle Corps will have an information booth Saturday November 15, 2014 at the 38th annual Savanna Field Tournament held in Glover Stadium Anaheim. Volunteers will be working in the booth all day from 7am to 10pm. Please come by the booth for the latest open house, workshop, and audition information. Sneak Preview 2014 Celebrate the opening of the 2014 drum corps season! Get a sneak preview of Southern California drum corps as they unveil their 2014 shows in exhibition on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Glen A. Wilson High School Stadium. A portion of the ticket sales purchased through the link at www.impulseyoutharts.org will directly support Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps. Come out and show your support for the musical arts in Southern California. So Cal Classic Tickets On Sale Tickets for the annual So Cal Classic show are now on sale at DCI.org. Impulse will be holding auditions for Color Guard on Sunday April 28th at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, CA. Sign-in begins at 9AM. Participants should wear typical guard rehearsal clothing and bring a practice flag. Bring a Rifle and Saber if you plan to try out for these positions. The rehearsal / audition will take place from 9:30AM to 4:30PM. The audition fee is $40 and payable at sign-in.

The plan for Reno, NV is to hold a clinic and have a performance. Details are still being worked out.

Impulse Drum & Bugle Corps is excited to announce that we are extending our summer tour with additional stops in Boise Idaho, Ogden Utah and Reno Nevada. DCI representatives indicated that they are excited to see Impulse taking the next step towards their goal of returning to a full summer tour. This extension to the 2013 tour will provide the instructional and support staff the opportunity to learn first hand about the real demands and logistics required to support 100+ persons in a traveling caravan.

2013 AUDITIONS! Play "Your" part in a summer to remember. . . Impulse Drum & Bugle Corps will be holding Auditions for the 2013 drum & bugle corps on Sunday January 13th and Sunday January 27th. Impulse will be interviewing candidates for all sections including brass, percussion (battery and front ensemble) and drum majors. Instructional sessions will be provided to all that attend this two day opportunity. All sectional instruction will be led by the Impulse instructional staff with an educational focus geared towards those interested in becoming a part of the drum and bugle corps activity. Anyone interested in learning about drum corps or just looking to strengthen their skill set is welcome to attend. The Auditions are scheduled for January 13th and 27th at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, CA from 9AM to 4PM. The cost is $50.00 per participant (included in Workshop Fee). Members of the Impulse instructional staff, management and IYAO Board of Directors will be present at each audition to answer questions and provide insight for the season ahead.

The Workshops are scheduled for December 2nd and 16th at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, CA from 9AM to 4PM. The cost is $50.00 per participant and includes both Workshop dates, plus the Audition dates (TBA). Members of the Impulse instructional staff, management and IYAO Board of Directors will be present at each workshop to answer questions and provide insight for the season ahead. Follow your Impulse!
