Didnt everyone go through the same conditions that day??!?
When we were on, I know there were no lines (except for the permanent ones) - and i can guarantee that the Bucs didnt have them either?!?
For judging aspects, if everyone was in the same conditions.. not having lines shouldnt have mattered! The conditions were the same for every corps, and every corps had to ADAPT to the conditions.
If you could have figured that there wasnt any lines... couldnt you have practiced on Saturday without lines??!? (I know we did)
Form marching was truly needed in prelims, and I believe most corps march forms anyway! It doesnt matter if the person in the front line is one step off the "supposed" yard line, it should be spaced evenly from side to side (because they dont have a line either). So you are basically saying that because there were no yard lines, that instead of being at a 3 step interval front to back... you are going to be a 6?!? Doesnt make sense to me. If you are marching a form, a form is a form.
If you dont think that it is possible to march without lines... find the year that the Cadets preformed at the Olympics (I think). I've seen the video and they nail their form like any other day.
If you are going to complain about Rochester just because of the lines, just remember.. it could of ALWAYS been worse!
