Blue Knights 2019!

I said this exact same thing to my kid. He said "Then you're going to love the closer" I feel like it's destined for some sampling to add the sprinkles on top, but this is very well designed. like 2muchcoffee pointed out in his link, they're about a minute and a half short of full show. -

Not just at Camp Randall. That was pretty standard during retreat that summer to hear that line blocks away. -

There were rumors floating around at the time that lead me to think of that response as damage control. -

The rumors around OC are not good, but it's clear the staff has all quit. -

Considering they share a program designer the Seven Lakes tie shouldn't be a huge surprise. Wonder if they'll pickup whatever props 7L used on the cheap. -

Or a dead circuit, entire 15 minute productions just that encompass just one song... Presenting their 2031 program "Althea" -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_(Bernstein) is totally worth the read through.

I've seen this video. The quality is terrible. The compression makes it worse. That said, this is not going to be understood by many who don't take the time to, at a minimum, read through what Mass is actually about. Hop said they were doing different things in regards to drill, and they're going to have to. No way traditional drill can be cleaned if that's what they're wearing, and what they're wearing is more than appropriate for the production. This one will be fun come San Antonio, but it's not going to fit inside a lot of people's "What drum corps is" box.

92 Phantom. Wish SCV had kept their early season design in place for finals that year. Judges hated it so the final product is what it was. Still fantastic come Finals, but man it was much cooler in July. As far as the "those people that were in Jackson in 93 probably wouldn't be as hyped about 93 star" comment prior... there were clearly 2 trains of thought with that show at the time. I bailed after Phantom, and never ended up seeing Star or Cadets at finals. I wasn't much of a fan of 93 star until much later when I was able to appreciate it for where it took the activity, but I saw it plenty that season. That was the last time the old 2 valve bugles were used in DCI.

Loudest Moments Ever???
sacrificialclown replied to brassdude6171's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
probably not the only one to remember this, but Phantom playing Amazing Grace during retreats in 92 could be heard BLOCKS away from the stadium. Not show specific per se, but applicable I think. Loudest line I never heard from the stands was far and away 92 VK. -

My limited understanding here is that Blue was leaving to pursue his doctorate after this summer, so it's entirely plausible that BKG and OC were in talks with Tim prior to the end of the season. This is a great pickup for OC, and I'm looking forward for what it could mean for the brass book next year. Semifinal's recaps indicated the brass were outperforming the book, so this is definitely a line on the rise. If they can overhaul the visual team starting with drill writer OC could be dangerous next year. In my little black heart I hope Sylvester would be up for that challenge. -
Oregon Crusaders 2016 "Hunted"

Between their snapchat, and OCVIP the marketing team is just killing it with content. Last night's run was really great. That battery is surprisingly clean for June. -

The redditors state bd will stay on king in 2016. I would bet that's a contractual thing for the moment. Good stuff for oc for sure. The group has been fairly quiet this offseason. Hoping for a video or two out of camp next weekend. It almost seems like some corps fail to capitalize on the social media audience. -
What to bring to camp/auditions?
sacrificialclown replied to MikeN's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
My kid takes sleeping stuff, athletic clothes, section appropriate stuff, and shower stuffs. I swear he doesn't use the showers for camps judging by the way he smells when I pick him up. -

I find it incredibly cool that almost the entire brass team are former members. If they're trying to get back to their roots, I'm at a loss for a better way to achieve it. -
ok... gimme 2 from 91... VK sop solo to open "I feel good" Overly suggestive guard at hit in Phantom ballad transitioning to closer. (seriously changed my life) After that... 92 VK semis wherein the announcement was made they won the chili cookoff right as they were taking the field (also shark moment finals night WHOA) 02 Cadets when they raised the flag dressed as firemen back field and the emergency crews turned their lights on 97 scouts company front when the drum major turns around and takes a pic of the crowd and since I didn't see anyone else say it... 11 Scouts... ESOM few more here and there I'll just tuck away.
