Sorry Jim. Since this has been politicized, I don't trust the numbers. There is a lot of misinformation out there intended to give advantage to a certain political movement.

I have a feeling that the outcome of November 3, 2020 will determine how quickly we get back to normal.

Many things regarding the ideology that this cartoon represents don't make logical sense. I don't believe these things are intended to make sense, they're designed to get an emotional response.

This thread has devolved into lectures from a few posters on here who believe they are morally and intellectually superior to others. DCP is turning into RAMD, version 2. No real surprise though...one of the individuals who helped turn RAMD into a #### show is on this thread trying to minimize others views.

Drum corps is not perfect...nothing is. There will always be jerks in every part of life. A few jerks does not equal a systemic problem though. And by the way, my head is not buried in the sand...why do you always have to get personal!

Yep, the theme behind their next show will be important. They have put together a very solid staff. I do have a few concerns though. My hope is that they move away from social issues and politics in their show. Time will tell.

OK...thanks for your honest thoughts. However, I don't believe that the current management at the Cadets are moving the corps in a positive direction. Becoming social warriors is not going to improve their current image. The Cadets are no longer considered an elite drum corps. After last season, I feel that the Cadets are more focused on being woke than putting a great show on the field.

Initially, I was a big fan of Denise and what she brought to the Cadets. However, I don't like the most recent announcements from the Cadets. Some of the people who were most responsible for the Cadets disaster of 2019 are being more empowered by the current Cadets management. Not a good trend for the Cadets...becoming social justice warriors is not what this legendary corps needs to move forward. Their main focus should be on creating a show that isn't horrible.

Very thoughtful and accurate response. The Cadets announcement includes buzzwords that we are inundated with daily by the media. I don't think that is a coincidence.

I agree! The virtue signaling in America is at epic proportions. Are human beings perfect? No, never will be. But I believe DCI (and the Cadets) are going overboard in an attempt to appear woke. For the most part, DCI has been inclusive and accepting for years.

Hopkins has nothing to do with this discussion. With all his faults, he was not a racist and all were accepted at the Cadets. Hopkins was a progressive leftist, a racist would never be accepted in that club, you know that well Jeff.

The Cadets can do better by focusing on putting a well designed show on the field. They have been inclusive and accepting of all for years. So many are desperate to look woke that they look silly
