  1. We will respectfully agree to disagree on this one. My comment was based on words I have heard from members of the Crossmen. I did not put words in their mouths. I can not speak about the entire Crossmen organization, however, the memebers of the corps I have known have made some nasty comments regarding the Cadets/Hopkins.
  2. Well they can't blame all their problems on YEA/Hopkins anymore
  3. Cadets held camp this weekend in Springfield, Pa. It was the last camp before move-in for the brass, and the next to last camp before move-in for the guard and percussion. It was great to see April back in charge of the guard and man are they loaded with focused, talented kids! The corps got 20 pages of drill on the field and continued to tweak and shape the show music. I am not going to predict with any certainty how the Cadets will do competatively this summer. There are many factors that determine how well a corps will do once they get into a grueling season. I will however say with much certainty that the Cadets brass line has picked up where they left off last season, the music is absolutely stellar, the percussion line could be one of their best ever (the snare line is scary good!), the guard will be back at the level we are accustomed to seeing from them (they should be a contender!) and the entire corps is extremely focused and excited. We will see how it all plays out real soon. The potential is in place for one of the best versions of the Cadets ever. Bring it on
  4. I don't know if the end of the activity is near, I do however know that the end of my interest in DCP gets closer everytime I read an absurd post like this
  5. Not the word I was thinking of, however, it does apply as well
  6. your arrogance never ceases to amaze me
  7. That 4th tenor player was Stan, the tenor tech.; he was just filling in on one chart for a player that I believe had a WGI commitment.
  8. You're all April Fools if you get worked into a frenzy over something as harmless as narration
  9. They rehearse at Springfield high school in Delaware county
  10. I will be there Saturday and Sunday. I am so fortunate, they hold their camps 20 minutes from my house! I always enjoy my time with the Cadets, the people are so nice and they always welcome me and my family.
  11. The snare line is set at 9 and man are they good! Some players were absent due to other commitments. Don't worry, they have all the players they need
  12. Of course I meant 2008 Cadets; sorry for the typo! Say what you want; the Cadets are one of the most consistently great and classy corps in the history of the activity. If you are hoping to watch their fall from greatness this summer, you're in for a big dissapointment. If the Cadets continue on the course they are on currently, they will be better than the 2007 edition, and I know that thought fills you with joy.
  13. From what I have witnessed at Cadets camps so far, that would fall into the category of a "safe" prediction
  14. Have you seen the 2088 Cadets yet? The name of this thread is "Bold Predictions" not absurd predictions!
  15. Who had the better drum line is subjective and therefore opinion, and yes, Phantom did not use narration, however, the effect of narration in a drum corps show is subjective and therefore opinion.
  16. The above statements are based on opinion, not fact
  17. Well thought out and reasonable response. Unfortunately, words like yours fall on def ears when it comes to the anti Hopkins/Cadets gang
  18. I would like to see any corps that is good enough to make top 12 in, and any corps that is not good enough to make the 12 out. I really think any other answer to this question is slightly mean-spirited
  19. I wasn't crazy about the Cadets narration, however, I feel posts like yours are really overstated and exagerrated
  20. Roses are red Violets are blue No matter what the Cadets do Some will Boo <**>
