  1. As another great summer of Drum Corps comes to a close, let us celebrate each and every young performer who put in the time, work, and dedication to own their show. Many thanks to all who donated their time and energy to keep this type of musical journey and performance medium alive! Please enjoy a “why-we-do-what-we-do” video and poem I created a few years back: Full Circle
  2. Share how you've used your DCI background in everyday playing and performance experiences, both music and non-music related. Mine: I have always loved gridding flam paradiddles. They still are my favorite way to warm-up, from hotel lobby steel drum gigs to stages as large as New York City's Radio City Music Hall and the Russian Kremlin. My arranging and composing endeavors in the marching arts have guided the path to directing and leading bands from Vegas to Europe. Those experiences have definitely shaped me as a musician and performer.
  3. here's to a new Season. 1.2.3.rock-it: Drum Corps Vid
  4. Complete MIDI of "Full Circle" is available for download HERE. Use the red pull-down menu labeled "Marching Band" located in the upper left to select "The Crossmen." All four of my arrangements for The Crossmen, 2007 - 2010, can be downloaded. Thank you for your commitment to our previous collaborations, and I am confident that our paths will cross again. Official Press Release
  5. <<<< From Michael Boo's DCI Southeastern Championship Blog: 5:41 If you ever get the chance to spend some time with corps music designer Aaron Guidry, don's pass it up. He's one interesting dude. Think Woody Allen, Steven Hawking, George Carlin, that guy on the street corner that waves at passing cars and Gonzo from "Sesame Street" rolled into one person. 5:41 And I mean that as a compliment. >>>> Bullseye, Michael ! And to think, I don't think you've ever even seen any of my sweet dance moves!
  6. More MIDI music HERE. This week's selection: Letter from Home
  7. August 12 = Quarterfinals = Pat Metheny's Birthday Raisinets, Raise the Roof, Raise a Glass
