  1. Sounds cool to me, but I know some very religious people that are going to be pretty offended with this show concept :/
  2. Does anyone know if any corps are in need of a bari/euph? I'm trying to help out someone who has been working really hard to march, but because of some really bad luck beyond her control, she might not be able to march the corps she really wants. I'm trying to find her a home this summer as this is her rookout year. Does anyone know where she could go?
  3. Why was their 2012 show removed from the fan network?
  4. 1. Cadets 2. Cavies 3. BD 4. Crown 5. Phantom 6. Bluecoats 7. Vanguard 8. Scouts 9. Blue Stars 10. Boston 11. Blue Knights 12. Spirit
  5. He has the right to have opinions just like all the rest of us. If he doesn't like a corps, there's really nothing wrong with that, is there?
  6. I'm not about to trash talk a corps on the internet, but my reason for disliking them goes way past what they do on the field...
  7. I'm guessing it's because a pre-recorded professional singer would sound better.
  8. Those of you guys using the fan network, how do you get to the webcast? Or has it just not been put up yet?
  9. This is something that sort of irks me too. It seems like Open Class has become a contest to see who has the biggest corps and it's kinda unfair to the smaller ones.
  10. I saw them at a rehearsal while they were in my city. Unfortunately, it was a short rehearsal day for them and I only got to see them rehearse the opener. Horn line sounds pretty good considering the fact that it's early season and they're a little short on numbers. They have about 28 members in their horn line I believe. Over all, I think this show is working great for them and it doesn't come off as corny to me at all. I can't wait to see their whole show this season! 'Tis a gift!
  11. So I'm a brass player and I'm a visual tech for a high school marching band. Just recently, I noticed the drumline marching and I thought the crab marching technique looked really, really sloppy, although I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. It looked like they were crouching down a lot. I brought that up with the section leader and he said that you're supposed to crouch down a lot, but I don't know how true that is. And it looks especially bad because the rest of the band is marching straight leg technique. So are there any articles or what not where I can learn more about this technique? Or could someone here explain it to me? Thanks!
  12. There are some transcriptions on youtube. Check it out.
  13. What the cavaliers do works for them obviously, but I think they do play it safe compared to other corps. I'd rather see a show that's very difficult and a little dirty as opposed to a show that's very easy and clean as a whistle.
