  1. unless Im reading this wrong, Lentz, did have Crown over BD in Denver. Looks like he has flip flipped sub-captions with the 2 corps all season. Recap: http://www.dci.org/scores/recap/recap_window.cfm?event=8081eca8-70e4-42a6-9c21-bcb7c9751b29 That dispells that. Next.
  2. I loved watching jessie perform when she was in zydeco! She'll be a great addition to the team!
  3. Personally, I don't think they do need policed. There's far too many groups for WGI to police correctly. Also, if this were to pass and we have a situation like scholastic world this past year, no one would be able to drop a class because everyone made semi's. My questions to you all... whats so wrong with leaving a good A class guard in A class? What makes a guard that was reviewed mid-season to be open class in March or February world class in May? We are so quick to promote that I feel we aren't giving A and Open classes the chance to grow. There's never a reigning champion and never a team to beat. Honestly, we demand promotion of the top teams when we aren't winning when instead we could be trying to change the way we design and train our own teams to get a different score. Just some food for thought!
  4. So you don't like giving wgi the power to do any end of season proposals but you are ok with giving them the power to prevent a unit from going down a class? Trust me, I'm with you on the no post season thing, I just don't see any positive benefits from keeping a unit in a class if they may have fit in there last year but not necessarily this year.
  5. I guess that's why we have well trained judges; judges who reward innovation, creativity, and originality. I'm glad pride won fan favorite, because clearly that's what they were. But the scores don't lie. The most crowd pleasing doesn't mean they were the best guard there. I'm personally very happy for onyx as the group has been around for 21 years and they deserve their gold. Congrats Onyx!
  6. pride has too many sound/show edits. Great performers, ok design. the waving and over done smiles get old. Sac - good show. great weapons. Ok flags. Typical, good music Nei. great performers and energy id place them... 1/2 scv/onyx 3/4 nei/sac 5-7 crown/pride/braddock and good luck to Logan, Juxta & Ars Nova!
  7. WOW! that's very exciting. Looks like we'll have some real competition this year!
  8. out of curiosity, with all the talk of busy floors... any examples of floors that don't fall into this category that people do like?
  9. theres lot of people coming from Indy! you should make the short trip, or if you need a ride, I'll help ya find one! PM me and I'll see what we can do!
  10. yes, we really need DCI crowds to experience the awesomeness that is exchange street. fear the roo!
