  1. Don't know if you remember me but I was going over some older pictures when I came across one of you with the Bandettes while I was marching with the Kilties. Just wanted to see how things are going. Take care!!!

  2. As I stated earlier, alternate arraignments have been made for the age-outs and for those individuals that had flights out of Indianapolis. Although I spoke to those individuals earlier today, I will be following up with them immediately. I am however skeptical that they would complain to you first rather than get this alleged situation fixed by those that have the ability to rectify it.
  3. As I am directly involved with the administration at Revolution the information that you have received is completely false. Whoever your "sources" are has given you incorrect information. Revolution had suffered a mishap with their equipment trailer and for the safety of the members and assets the administration made a decision to leave a few days early. Additionally we made arrangements for those who had travel arrangements out of Indianapolis on a later date. I am sorry to tell you that what you have heard is a rumor.
  4. Revolution has made the decision to leave a few days early when an unfortunate situation arose involving the equipment trailer. Upon returning to the housing site following their prelims performance it was discovered that the equipment trailer had somehow suffered severe damage, including two broken axles. While Revolution was fortunate enough to be prepared for the inevitable emergencies that happen on the road, the price tag to repair the truck to a working and safe condition proved to be an extremely costly endeavor. Following the completion of Revolution’s 2012 competitive goals, including Open Class Finals, the organization resolved that its best interest would be to get the members and equipment home safely to South Texas. Before the rumor mill gets started, Revolution has had a very successful 2012 season! A $12,000 repair so close to the end of tour is an unfortunate event, however instead of toeing that compromising thin line for a few days, we will go home safely with our heads held high.
  5. It has been stated numerous times in this thread that DCI is in no way responsible for the demise of these open class corps, however my experience in the administration of an open class corps has shown the contrary. In recent years DCI has made strategic moves that made it nearly impossible to start or operate an open class organization. One example I can think of is that DCI has removed the appearance fee's that an OC would get for performing in a show. While this amount is not as great as a world class corps, it is still enough to be detrimental to an organization.
  6. Ive named all of my babys (horns)...Albert is my soprano, Fredrick is my trumpet, and Eugene is my other Trumpet.
  7. Don Kahtsu i have to say is the best one of teh best instructors i know, he volenteers for alot of corps and he is real good. I know personally he has improved our (bandettes) hornline a ton :)
  8. I personally love playing pedaltones, and im a high brass. It feels reall good and it doesnt make me as tense for playing the next time. But too much pedal tones will make my lips swells and thats just not fun to try to play.
  9. Last year Bandettes 2nd sop's had a pretty close bond. I met one of them in 99 and we absolutly hated each other but we marched again toghetr in 00 and we became the best of friends. this year i was moved up to first soprano but i will forveer be a 2nd at heart!! :)
  10. I just got done boiling mine...what a difference it makes...

  12. I shower with my baby (horn) on tour and at home. He gets really dirty on tour and in band class....
