  1. yes, that sounds right...and from what DCI said, it wasn't a favored nations problem with KK, it was a video rights issue (two seperate issues)
  2. they better book a flight now for the DCI person that will come out to evaulate them...i hear a midwest corps will have to pay $500 for it (which basically is to fly the person out)
  3. maybe not in name, but more so than some "World Class" corps I've been around
  4. i heard they are going for 110 members for next year...that's larger than some World Class corps...good luck, hope they can get there. still wondering why DCI made them and Chops move souvie tents to make room for Madison...oh wait, madison is World Class, oh well, solved my own puzzle
  5. glad to hear Madison had some good fortune, seeing as how an All-Age corps and Open Class corps were both moved to give the late-comers the preferential spot
  6. Pacific Crest has been to finals every year since 2003 and will continue this year (and presumably every year) as well.
  7. don't know about that, but i did hear that someone wants the ending changed to Gary Owen
  8. he may have wanted to, but he was busy working!!! we noticed this and assume there must have been something really wrong going on....seriously, when was the last time Dan worked at a show??
  9. as long as Roman is in charge, Pioneer will go nowhere. his way of running the corps is shotty at best. it's not that he doesn't mean well, it's just that he doesn't understand. so to answer the question of this post...no. no matter what happens with Madison, Pioneer will not pass them.
  10. not sure bout that, but i heard from someone that DCI will never be back in Camp Randall because they jacked up the price to use the stadium without telling DCI. now they may have meant never back for finals (in chance years when Lucas Oil is previously booked), but they may have meant ever.
  11. i'm with you on this, but it's not for the sake of choreography, usually it is to give the horn players a little time to rest their chops so they can blow you down with their closer. i would try to find a better way to do this but at least i understand.
  12. assuming you are refering to last night in Madison...i don't know about the Troopers souvies, but i heard a couple of corps had to move their souvie booths to the Kohls Center to fit the Scouts down center next to the DCI booth. not sure what caused all the movement, but maybe it was DCI's way of making it up to the Scouts for not putting them on last at their own home show. just saying what i heard from someone
