thanks for the kind words about the old team. i started in senior corps when i was 14, and did that whole thing for 5 years. then this past summer, i finally made the crossmen, and i had a great time. if you want my personal advice, come on out. trust me, you'll realize at the yea camp that you don't have to be an amazing musician just to try out. the worst thing that can happen to you is you get cut, but at least you can say you tried! i tried out for 3 years before i finally got spot. but i'm also a snare drummer, there's usually a LOT of us. even if you do get cut, you'll still have plenty of time to go to a div II or III or a senior corps. most senior corps have horn spots open most of the season! (i know, i filled one when i got home this summer). and also, trombone and baritone are the same thing once you get the valves down, so don't worry about that at all. i hope you decide to come out. if you do, go up to the tall skinny snare drummer with the "Josh" nametag on and say hi. i hope to see you there!
