  1. Danza de Los Duendes is such a fun piece to play and listen to. Very excited.
  2. SCV every year this last decade. They're like the little brother desperately trying to get attention in the shadow of Big Brother BD that every show is always ubber hyped as "the year they're going to take it all again." *****Disclaimer****** This does not mean I hate your corps, SCV fans. So chill.
  3. Oh for sure. It blows me away when I'm lucky enough to be able to go watch Grand Nats. The things some programs are capable of getting their students to perform is inspiring.
  4. This is a very good band. Very good. But look at it... Jacked up formations, players out of step, guard work sloppy at points, horn angles all over the place. And that trumpet feature may be VERY impressive for a band, but that is June sloppy for a WC corps. That soli section would not be allowed to sound like that with a WC drum corps.
  5. Have you watched BOA this last decade? You do know that BOA bands are just as guilty of "not playing all the time" as corps, right?
  6. Rearranging your stance on an opinion because I believe in it too? That is hilarious.
  7. Not enough eye rolling emoticons on the interwebs............
  8. Been sitting here, going back through the thread and reading all these comments with a buddy of mine that judges DCI and BOA regionals and championships. We both thank you all for the laughs. He wanted to make it into a drinking game where we took shots for every poster that thought BOA bands could compete with DCI WC, but that's just a bad idea. lol. BOA Grand Nats champs can't touch DCI WC corps. Let's just stop comparing sedans to sports cars because they're " both cars."
  9. Let's just get the stock out of the way: I hate the uniforms This show is so not INT. I wish they would go back to their roots. This show is perfect for INT! So glad they're going back to their roots! Why can't a corps just play a jazz show? Top 3, I'm calling it. I'm calling it now, they're dropping out of the top 6. It's the same as last year. A fresh new direction from INT!!!! The corps just had it's best camp ever/best audition turn out ever/best sounding line ever! SOME OF THIS MUSIC HAS NOT BEEN LICENSED YET AND YOU SERIOUSLY HURT THE CORPS CHANCES OF GETTING IT LICENSED EVEN THOUGH A RUMOR ON A FORUM HAS LITTLE TO NOTHING TO DO WITH LICENSING I JUST LIKE TO PRETEND LIKE I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.
  10. And what are your credentials to give more credibility to YOUR opinion? HS bands don't hold a candle to WC drum corps. I've taught at a BOA Grand Champion program in this decade. If you think it comes close you literally have no clue.
  11. Just because I knock on him doesn't mean I take your side.
  12. That must have taken a fair amount of time and effort to compile. You must really like him.
  13. That would make a lot of people B**** and moan. So yes. Definitely.
  14. I'm from Texas. I'm very certain we have a couple bands that know how to compete ;) I don't think out best could beat last year's quarter finals corps. WC is just much more rehearsed and cleaned. Hell, in Texas bands are not allowed to rehearse more then 8 hours a week. OC is a different story.
  15. The music would work well and the visual possibilities are very accessible.
  16. But they weren't at DCI quarters. "Eligible" or not, they didn't go and didn't get ranked. BOA is clean for band, not DC. Edit: Nice, green rating. Just for you ;)
  17. None. It's like pitting the state champion high school football teams from each state and having them play against the worst NFL teams.
  18. Yep. Combo points for a Mod's thread. If one defeats a mod, does he himself become a mod?
  19. I felt the same way. Until I heard the camp recordings. Sounds great for drum corps while maintaining the integrity of the original works
