  1. So a legit question for all our guard friends… in situations like this where the winds are really bad, do you stop doing tosses and such? How does that work?
  2. DCI has done a less than stellar job of marketing this season. I don’t know if it’s lack of money to advertise, but I haven’t seen a single ad for the shows in my area.
  3. Dear DCI, there is entirely too much dead time between shows. This has to stop, especially when we’re rushing to beat storms. These kids shouldn’t be forced to stand on a field for 5 minutes to wait for a performance time.
  4. Boston isn’t nervous about anything, and neither is Crown. Both groups have 30 days to clean and layer. Both shows are fantastic. All 300+ kids are incredible performers. Let’s all just enjoy what these kids are working 14 hours a day to present to us and recognize that for a bit.
  5. Naw, I think the score was pretty spot on for the cadets. The horns are not on the same level as BAC and Crown, and I would even put Crown a tick above BAC.
  6. So… I really enjoyed Boston. There are some good moments in that show. Technically, a great group of performers. Drums are on fire. Overall, the show still feels flat, almost forced. I don’t pretend to be a judge, but I don’t think they have the juice to win this season. But we have a month left to go. Side note: Gino, unleash these kids!!! It still feels like the hornline is holding back a bit. Bring the power!!!
  7. just curious, can any firmer Cadets tell me why they turn their back to the corps on the field performing while staging ?
  8. Wow Spartans. Great opening hit, corps is ready to take the next step. Only down spot, the brass book for the trumpets was a little ambitious and spend a lot of time in the upper register. Other than that, nicely done.
