  1. I. AM. SPARTACUS. I forget which show...😜
  2. Suncoast 1983 Phantom 2007 & 2008 Garfield 1983 and 1984
  3. Once again - Cadets 2007 because it's one of Cardmans LEAST FAVORITE SHOWS EVER. Did you know that he doesn't like The Cadets 2005 & 2007 shows and for some inexplicable reason feels the need to tell everyone. Give it a rest already! I was there in 2007 and yes the jibba jabba was distracting, but "IF" you saw it live and "IF" you were able to appreciate the sheer genius of that hornline and drill (not a percussionist or guardy person - sorry) then you would have been able to see past the distraction. Semi-finals they were on fire. This was a brilliantly executed show that is sadly remembered for all the wrong reasons. Give credit where it's due.
  4. Cadets 2005 by far...because? It's one of Cardmans least favorite shows EVER!! Apart from that, as already pointed out, it took a clean caption sweep - the only time this has ever been done at finals. Kudos to the Cadets - one of the greatest shows EVER (IMO). Peace out.
  5. Bluecoats Phantom Cadets Blue Knights SCV Crown Cavaliers In that order
  6. 1. Cadets 2. Bluecoats 3. SCV 4. BD 5. Phantom 6. Cavaliers 7. Crown 8. Madison 9. Blue Stars 10. Boston 11. BK 12. Crossmen
  7. Best hornlines of the past 4 years - (sorry, but I missed 2006 finals so can't give you the last 5). 2007 - Cadets 2008 - PR 2009 - CC 2010 - Bluecoats The corps who have consistently produced top quality sounds over these 4 years are those above. If I had to put them in order of preference then I would say Cadets PR CC Bluecoats
  8. 1. Cadets 2. Bluecoats 3. Phantom 4. Madison 5. Blue Knights 6. Blue Stars 7. SCV 8. Cavaliers 9. Crown 10. Boston 11. Academy 12. Spirit
  9. Agreed - my thoughts exactly. Why would anyone really feel the need to come on here and say "I hate being accused of loving BD"...
  10. Fun thread - I'll play. Name - The Red Angels Show - A modern day Spartacus with lots of electronics, gadgets, torture tables, electric chairs, two-way mirrors, wacky obscure music (with a stellar hornline), fans will hate it, Camp - Brutal, in Death Valley, 24 hour rehearsals until finals Definitely new school, but the ending will include a z-pull to guarantee a talking point and discussion about a hidden meaning to their show. Motivational techniques will include water-boarding, electricution, starvation, dangling from 100 storey buildings for anyone who is late, misses their spots, early entries or late releases, rifle/flag drops. Sounds cool - where do I sign up...
  11. About 2:15 into Bluecoats show there is a horn hit that is LOUD and then again at 3:00 Some real quality in their playing - loved their hornline this year (especially in the ballad). Not sure about their placement of 5th in the "mus" brass category. Nevermind.
  12. Agreed - I voted for Triple Crown For me it contains the best ballad in years. Beautiful brass sound. I remember watching their finals show live in Pasadena as the sun was going down over the mountains to my left. Fantastic memories. Thank you Crown!
