Favorite audience shout outs?

I. AM. SPARTACUS. I forget which show...😜 -
Suncoast 1983 Phantom 2007 & 2008 Garfield 1983 and 1984

Once again - Cadets 2007 because it's one of Cardmans LEAST FAVORITE SHOWS EVER. Did you know that he doesn't like The Cadets 2005 & 2007 shows and for some inexplicable reason feels the need to tell everyone. Give it a rest already! I was there in 2007 and yes the jibba jabba was distracting, but "IF" you saw it live and "IF" you were able to appreciate the sheer genius of that hornline and drill (not a percussionist or guardy person - sorry) then you would have been able to see past the distraction. Semi-finals they were on fire. This was a brilliantly executed show that is sadly remembered for all the wrong reasons. Give credit where it's due.

The Cavaliers 2002 vs The Cadets 2005
WMC85 replied to FaustianMachine's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Cadets 2005 by far...because? It's one of Cardmans least favorite shows EVER!! Apart from that, as already pointed out, it took a clean caption sweep - the only time this has ever been done at finals. Kudos to the Cadets - one of the greatest shows EVER (IMO). Peace out. -

Bluecoats Phantom Cadets Blue Knights SCV Crown Cavaliers In that order -
1. Cadets 2. Bluecoats 3. SCV 4. BD 5. Phantom 6. Cavaliers 7. Crown 8. Madison 9. Blue Stars 10. Boston 11. BK 12. Crossmen

Best hornlines of the past 4 years - (sorry, but I missed 2006 finals so can't give you the last 5). 2007 - Cadets 2008 - PR 2009 - CC 2010 - Bluecoats The corps who have consistently produced top quality sounds over these 4 years are those above. If I had to put them in order of preference then I would say Cadets PR CC Bluecoats

1. Cadets 2. Bluecoats 3. Phantom 4. Madison 5. Blue Knights 6. Blue Stars 7. SCV 8. Cavaliers 9. Crown 10. Boston 11. Academy 12. Spirit

Fun thread - I'll play. Name - The Red Angels Show - A modern day Spartacus with lots of electronics, gadgets, torture tables, electric chairs, two-way mirrors, wacky obscure music (with a stellar hornline), fans will hate it, Camp - Brutal, in Death Valley, 24 hour rehearsals until finals Definitely new school, but the ending will include a z-pull to guarantee a talking point and discussion about a hidden meaning to their show. Motivational techniques will include water-boarding, electricution, starvation, dangling from 100 storey buildings for anyone who is late, misses their spots, early entries or late releases, rifle/flag drops. Sounds cool - where do I sign up...

Loudest Single Chord of 2010
WMC85 replied to Hrothgar15's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
About 2:15 into Bluecoats show there is a horn hit that is LOUD and then again at 3:00 Some real quality in their playing - loved their hornline this year (especially in the ballad). Not sure about their placement of 5th in the "mus" brass category. Nevermind. -
More horns less guard - PLEASE!

Best Carolina Crown Shows of this "Decade"
WMC85 replied to KakkoiiOtaku's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Agreed - I voted for Triple Crown For me it contains the best ballad in years. Beautiful brass sound. I remember watching their finals show live in Pasadena as the sun was going down over the mountains to my left. Fantastic memories. Thank you Crown! -
Cadets (Clifton, New Jersey)

Thanks for that. C'mon The Cadets! -
Congratulations to the Blue guys
WMC85 replied to TrainWreck's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Wow! This thread is ridiculous! A guy comes on here and congratulates two fantastic wins for two separate corps (neither of which he has any affiliation with from what I can see) and he gets criticised! I concur with you TrainWreck - well done Bloo and BK! It IS an achievement for both corps (IMO). -
Can the Blue Devils break 99.15?
WMC85 replied to kagario's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
I personally don't think BD should win - purely my opinion though! This is a great show, but HNC and CC will be better by finals and both will deserve to overtake them (again IMHO). I predict that the final top 7 SHOULD read 1. HNC 2. CC 3. BD 4. SCV 5. Cavies 6. PR 7. Bloo Yes - looks unrealistic to some, but I like the look of it and that's what matters!! -
I'll stick my neck out and go for HNC to take 2nd place ahead of the Cavies who will only just be ahead of Crown and SCV. Overall a 1 point spread between 2nd & 5th and less than a point between HNC and BD...I hope. GO HNC!

Are you SERIOUS, Crossmen?!
WMC85 replied to ThatsNotMyName's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
The OP's two posts smack of hate filled troll spew. Note how the letters in bold appear to contradict each other. Sad, really sad. Post 1. I am absolutely flabbergasted. I am speechless. Above all, I am hurt. The decision to induct George Hopkins into the Bones Hall of Fame stuns me. How can we praise a man who did nothing but put the Crossmen on the back burner for so many years? He has literally ignored the corps some years under YEA's wing, never even stepping foot in front of them. What message are we sending our alumni? Who all had negative experiences, or no experiences AT ALL with the man. This really saddens me. As an alumni, I will have to rethink my involvement. After all the e-mails I get weekly asking for money, and then turning around and donating, despite the choices they make...this whole thing just makes me sick. Post 2. Gary, your opinion matters so much to me. I truly think you are one of the greatest men I've ever known. You have to understand this though, the summer I marched Crossmen was THE GREATEST summer of my life, however Hopkins left a very sour experience for some, including myself. I just feel that he really hurt us as members that year. And to see what followed was nothing short of disaster. That being said...I DO respect all that YEA and GH did for the Crossmen. Don't get me wrong, they truly bailed them out. If it wasn't for YEA's "stimulus package", the XMEN would have been bone dust for sure. I am truly grateful for that! If that is the reason for the induction, I support it 100%. Can't a guy be have a double standard every once in a while ;) -
I went for HNC.....because I'm an eternal optimist!! GO HNC!

They're up - watching now!

You don't need to be a member of DCP to be able to read threads do you? There's every chance this person may have followed the numerous anti-Cadets posts last year (and the year before for that matter). Just saying...
