  1. Of course the former members have a right to stay that! He's the reason why the drum corps is no longer what it was. Any past member has the right to blame the administration for what has been going on.
  2. If I'm reading these post correctly, It doesn't sound like we are talking about the drum corps rather then the Administration. From what I've been reading as well as hearing the Spartans are NO longer the Dynasty that they once were, The past is gone and the Administration will have to figure it out. Not matter what any of you say the situation is what it is, and The 2008 Spartans ARE NO LONGER the same drum corps that Won last year..
  3. From citations.org Richard Rigolini, Staff Coordinator Rich comes to us from 11 years of work with Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps and as a member of the Sacred Heart Color Guard design team. Rich is also the current President of the New England Scholastic Band Association. Rich has many years of experience in teaching, managing and creating award winning band, guard and drum corps shows. As a part of the Citations Drum and Bugle Corps Rich will work as the Staff Coordinator and as a member of the program/design team. Lennie Machado, Guard Design Team Member Lennie comes to the Citations after teaching the Spartans of Nashua NH for 11 years and has brought his students to a record 5 Top Color Guard awards at Drum Corps International. He is a member of Dance Prism and has received training at the Royal Shakespeare Company in London. Lennie is on the design team of Sacred Heart Color Guard and teaches at Dartmouth, Melrose, Somerset, Case and Shepherd Hill Regional High Schools. Lennie will be bringing his high level of energy and talent to the guard design team at Citations
  4. Why when the thruth starts comming out, people would rather close the form...
  5. What kinda of statement is that? "CHILDREN should be seen and NOT heard." The only reason why drum corps is still around is for the "Childern" i don't think you will find many "Childern" that stand on a football filed for 10+ hours a day...
  6. If a new drum corps is what Peter wants then thats fine. BUt to ruin something for the members of the past years, just doesn't seem right. The only reason why ANY Drum corps is here is to server the students involved. And I don't think that the changes made were positive. The Job of the Director is to make the best decisions for the students, allowing so many volunteers and interest leave could never me a positive thing.
  7. The lack of returning vets is no issue??? really? I'm sorry but thats a large issue to me. When a drum corps like the spartans which is a community base drum crops loose a lot of members that is a horrible thing. It proves a point that there is something wrong.
  8. Though, you have some valid points, I just can't believe that there are so many people would leave if there wasn't an issue with the administration. Some of past staff members and volunteers have spent 10+ years with the drum corps, to invest that much time in an organization must have been something large to make them all leave.
  9. I don't think it has anything to do with money, its more of a leadership thing I think.
  10. I could not have said it any better. My many seasons with the Spartans were amazing. And it had nothing to do with the name "Spartans" it was because of the talented staff, and the amazing volunteers that made the drum corps what it was. They truly made the drum crops the class act and successful drum corps that it is. So there is no suprise that members would want to follow thier staff to were ever they go. I truly wish the administration would have resolved any issues that caused the staff to leave.
  11. I think you are correct, Plus when all but 3 staff members leave that sends out a clear message that there is something wrong with the organization.
