  1. Just read it on DCI... refreshing to see a corps come back from folding (nothing against VK) it'd be cool to see them make finals in the future or at least be one of the top... sort of how it happened in 91.
  2. it just made me happy when i heard it. i tried to convince my brother that it was the beginning to f tuning and he said i was a nerd. haha whos the nerd now?! (i suppose all of us on here arguing about it)
  3. well at least it gives us something to ponder about in the off season haha
  4. i knew 2 and 3... not so hot on my dca trivia. dci i'm unbeatable though.
  5. Watching was DCA: Sounds on The Susquehanna 2004 Alumni: Tournament of Stars 2006 DCI: DCI East 2006 Marching was DCA: Brigadiers / Rochester, NY 2008 Alumni: Bridgemen / Tournament of Stars 2007 DCI: ?? / ??
  6. 1 Phantom Regiment 1989 2 Phantom Regiment 2008 3 Phantom Regiment 1996 4 Star of Indiana 1991 5 Bridgemen 1980 6 Garfield Cadets 2000 7 Bridgemen 1978 8 Blue Devils 1983 9 Phantom Regiment 1977 10 Bridgemen 1977
  7. decently accurate.. but i'd have to say MBI is going to go up
  8. might be sweet.. as long as they dont talk. last year they said they weren't going to talk in pursuit of happiness.. and they did. so i wont believe it until i see it
  9. It's simple for me... every single Phantom Regiment show Specifically? 77, 78, 82, 83, 89, 90, 92, 93, 96, 97 On top of those: Bridgemen at all VK at all Scouts 99, Crown 06, Bluecoats 89 / 92, and one of my favorites- SCV 92. I'm going to have to say drum corps is underrated in general.. if you're not top 3 you're nothing? I've been bored with the top 3 shows before but loved some of the lower ones before..
  10. - Bridgemen: all - Velvet Knights: all (extra for 92) - Shout outs during Blue Devils shows "I'M WET" and all - Phantom Regiment pooping on Blue Devils at finals - Blue Devils show this year was actually pretty funny in an entertaining way - Phantom getting on the field this year - Cadets 2006-present (see because it's a joke) *nothing against performers, just organization...gosh* - Watching staff in any given show on the side line jumping up and down
  11. The inter-use of zoo animals is allowed except for musical purposes: ie) monkeys are not allowed to be percussionists or play any wind instrument (presuming the woodwinds are passed) nor strings, but elephants are now able to be used as props or members of the color guard, although aren't counted against your member count.
  12. I have a visual tech that was my visual tech in drum corps. It's cool having him be in the same place as me going back and forth, but it's weird for both of us to be really close almost level friendship at drum corps and then go to marching band and have to assume the roll of teacher and student. besides that it's fresh though- really good drill writer and teacher for everything music to visual to corresponding both.
  13. being in not the top of the top 10 this year i have to say there's a certain thrill of being in the top 10 no matter where you place. i'm not sure we'd get the same thrill even being top of class a. i'd go top 10 any day
  14. judging is a joke a little bit. you can only rate something like music to a point. marching i think you can rate entirely, but something as open and emotional as music, there's always going to be opinion. it's not a race, it's not technical.. it's what sounds nice TO ME. and thats my OPINION lol.
  15. i love you guys. living up to your name indeed. in the lot after was awesome too
  16. Yeah I think DCA basically is the traditions of old DCI but still adapting to what the audience and corps wants/needs (switching from G bugles / updating marching style) I'm in DCA and I know it's the place for me right now. I'll end up doing DCI, but they are very different and I think that's a good thing.
