1993 In the Springtime... - Marched with another corps this year, so actually didn't see the full show until years later on video. For me, it had everything that lacked in '92. Incredibly technical show, with a lot of energy and clean. 2000 We are the Future - This show was just a lot of fun to watch and listen to. Can't ask for more than that. 2011 Between Angels and Demons - The show was a visual masterpiece.

Yes. World championships pay is based on final placements and mileage based on the corps’ home base. The WC allocation is based on historical placements.

Not sure it would have been better received, but probably less talked about at the time. I also wouldn’t lump all of 08-13 into one basket, some were better received than others from what I experienced being around the corps a lot some of those seasons. But as they say, some things do get better with age. A few of those shows are looked at much more favorably now than they were then.

Great angle too, those stick heights are perfect.

Yeah, I remember similar commentary about the state of drum corps when I marched in '93. There's always been one generation trashing the next as the activity continues to evolve.

I've always found these arguments odd. The corps, as a whole, decide on the scoring system. People give far too much credit to BD, and must think so lowly of other corps, to imply the system is "rigged" and other corps just continue to willingly take part in it. Anyway, the whining wouldn't stop if they changed the scoring because BD would adjust and continue to win. 🤣

Yeah same experience here. They’ve also received a lot of love the other times they I’ve seen them throughout the season, and from what I’ve heard from MMs. As to the OP, I wouldn’t let how others react to a show or what they think of it affect your enjoyment of it.

This seems like a Flo issue to me due to placement of mics, I didn't hear either last night in the stands.

Saw a few teary eyes around me last night!

Last night was my first live read of Bluecoats which left me a bit underwhelmed. Bump does continue to be one of my favorite moments of the season though and was so cool in person!

I think people tend to forget there are a whole lot of fans that do not post on DCP or social media. Anyone that has attended shows the last few years, or listened to the audience talk about their favorites as they exit the stadium, would quickly know there are plenty of fans who do in fact enjoy BD -- last night was no different!
