  5. But we are 29 hours closer to Indy. That's gotta count for something....lol
  6. '84.... A true classic in every sense. I will never forget seeing this show and all the amazing things that were part of it, from the incredible drill, to the beautiful guard work, and on and on and on.... Amazing.
  7. It's so funny seeing people get all stressed about this. I was at BOA (when the roof was obviously closed) and the sound was decent, much better than the RCA Dome. With the roof and sides open, this place should be great. It's a BEAUTIFUL facility with comfy seating, so chill out and enjoy!!!
  8. I doubt this was their choice. Usually it's the venue that dictates Ticketmaster as the seller. Almost every major theatre, event center, and sports facility use them now, unfortunately....
  9. Great read. Would love to hear your comments on night #2!
  10. True, but they've taken what could be an awesome horn lick and given it to the keyboards....definitely not as challenging there....
  11. What a classic show....one of my favorites of all time too! The blue and purple balloons, the amazing tunes, and the tag ending as you thought they were marching off the field....all great memories!
  12. I just wish they'd let the horns play the runs right during the fast portion of the 'simple gifts' portion, instead of scoring it for the mallets. If Cadets can do it in '87 with 2 valves, then.... check out their show in the last couple minutes! Not that SCV has to be just like Cadets (and btw, I love SCV's show....just adding the runs would make it that much better!)...
  13. That's how I came to know and love drum corps! It was fun gathering around the TV to watch the whole Top 12 live!
  14. Loved the Field Pass episode about them fielding again this summer after taking last year off. It sounds like they're doing things the right way. I'm just glad they're back!
  15. Geeze....still NO reviews from the week. What's up with that????
  16. While I thought they showed everyone, I guess we're both wrong. From the DCI website: "Big, Loud & Live 6 will feature the powerful performances of 22 World Class corps. The five-hour broadcast will include the live competitive programs of the top 15 corps in their entirety in addition to highlight clips of the first seven corps that perform earlier in the day." Who knew?
  17. How come there aren't any new Field Pass episodes on iTunes since Monday? I see 'em on the DCI page, but nothing on iTunes. Anyone?
  18. Anyone been to the southern, post-Alamodome shows? I'm going through withdrawal with no reviews posted....
  19. I love Field Pass, so I'll forgive a few "oops" moments! lol...
  20. My favorites: 1983- Cadets, end of "Rocky Point Holiday" opener. Amazing! 1983- Spirit, end of "We Are the Reason" closer. Sends shivers.... 1987- Vanguard, end of both "Russian Christmas Music" opener and "Great Gate of Kiev" closer. Wow! Check all these out on the Fan Network!
