I actually wanna see some of the musicals be redone again. Like Phantom and Les mis are the two that come to mind. I would like to hear what arrangements and how it would be done with the modern instrumentation rather then the G Bugles they had back then. Its been a decade or two i think since anyone has done it, so why not again?

Worst: Tie between Sevierville TN and Lake Havasu, Arizona (havasuck/havafu**). The show wasn't too bad but the fact that we had to chase roadrunners off of our practice field and then go and rehearse in 113 degree plus dead heat (oh yeah that mandate was only till 3, too bad it was hotter at 3 then it was at noon that day), hours after me and two other people melted a plastic cup to a sewer top was not a great feeling. Kinda just made the whole state kinda suck when your halfway through that block and look up to see the dark blue lake in the distance pretty much taunting you the whole time. Whatever though gotta love southern tour 2007 Another terrible one is Pasadena Community College. Turf monkeys and the biggest (sarcasm) crowd i've ever seen! Good one: Salem VA (Nice field, huge crowd + standing ovation is nice), IU (yeah Bloomington Indiana, i really didnt think it was all that bad and easily one of the better fields i was on all summer)

I just got one question here. One of my friends is going to be doing ROTC next year when hes in college. His age out year is the summer after his Jr year of college...which is also the year that they take the ROTC cadets and put them through basic training pretty much for a month. By that time he would have already made a commitment to the military so he has no choice about going to basic training. What would happen, would the summer before his actual "age out" year be his age out year or would he just not be able to march an actual age out year.

1. Boxer Chorale. First time i saw their show i was mad that i wasn't in the stands higher and was standing right on the other side of a fence when they hit that section. Still picking up pieces of my face. 2. The horn lick after the bass drum feature in that same show. 3. 1812 Overture from Crown 4. Last 2 minutes of cadets show. Honestly thats the cadets i know and love. 5. Line jumping thing during the cavies with jumping over like 3 lines or whatever they did Edit: rewording stuff

And just to throw in my two cents (plus join in on the reunion of teal people... it is that time of year again...) I did hear a judge say that we ended our second song too aggressively because he was standing literally right behind me at the end of the second song. Just putting that out there. The new unis are looking hot! Edit haha: Now now some of us probably were overplaying a bit but that's because the judges had us slotted in 5th already. Another note go check out the head cam from the last run before quarters because we played too loud we covered up corps performing on the field at quarterfinals. Silly me to think that 10 blocks and facing the other direction was a big enough distance haha Just throwing out my love to my 08 hornline :doh:

Hey whatever works. I just like that VA is finally getting tapped for its talent. With corps dropping like flies in numbers whatever a corps can to get more members cannot be a bad thing. Thats just my two cents

Hey I have only been around a few years and I am just wondering. Has there ever been a Div 1,2,3 corps out of virginia? It just seems like I have never heard of any corps to ever be here. I only ask because me and many other virginians have had to travel far and wide to get to any corps to march in a summer.
