  1. Star of Indiana '86... "Hey Miss Tina Turner wig! Just remember which one of us is going in the giant gerbil wheel!" "Too bad so sad, dear; these things will be gone after a couple shows!"
  2. Ha! A revenge spin! "...Oooooh, you don't say! Just remember who is getting spun around at the end of the show, buster!"
  3. Did the Mandarins have a Zipper ride brought in during spring training to get those members used to being spun around like that? Kudos and respect to those individuals for their tolerance. If I was on one of those contraptions...šŸ¤®
  4. Truth. 13. Academy 14. Blue Stars 15. Madison Scouts 16. Crossmen
  5. The Blue Stars haven't had a solid and competitive percussion section since Tom Aungst and then Mapes and Grom.
  6. Let me guess...it's because I made a guess about the Colts placing above the Blue Stars, today? It could happen, and it actually might. Prediction posts aren't life or death...they are just guesses. No need for undies to be bundled.
  7. Alamo guesstimate... 1. Blue Devils 2. Boston Crusaders 3. Carolina Crown 4. Bluecoats 5. Mandarins 6. Phantom Regiment 7. Cadets 8. Cavaliers 9. Colts 10. Blue Stars 11. Troopers 12. Pacific Crest
  8. Who is going to be the first to pass up the Blue Stars before DCI finals week? Colts or Troopers?
  9. Get on with the scores, already. Let's get this over with.
  10. Bluecoats should do a Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention show next year.
  11. The Tom Aungst year(s) with the Blue Stars were pretty good, too.
  12. Some years ago the Blue Stars guard were challenging the Top 4 corps...not any more. The talent just isn't there. When this season is done; the Blue Stars are going to have a lot of things to consider if they want to move up in the rankings or if they are just satisfied treading water in the middle or lower part of the Top 12.
  13. Woulda, coulda, shoulda...I wish the Blue Stars had the kind of off season the Mandarins had.
  14. It doesn't take long for the interior of those buses to heat up with no air conditioning; even more so when jam packed with people.
  15. 1. Blue Devils 2. Carolina Crown 3. Bluecoats 4. Mandarins 5. Cavaliers 6. Blue Stars 7. Colts 8. Seattle Cascades
  16. 1. Blue Devils 2. Boston Crusaders 3. Carolina Crown 4. Bluecoats 5. Phantom Regiment 6. Cadets 7. Blue Stars
  17. With the first regional coming up soon, time to shuffle the deck some more. 1. Blue Devils 2. Boston Crusaders 3. Carolina Crown 4. Bluecoats 5. Mandarins 6. Phantom Regiment 7. Cadets 8. Cavaliers 9. Troopers 10. Colts 11. Blue Stars 12. Pacific Crest Gaps represent score groupings.
  18. Nah, if they are going to go all out; go big. A show about the World's Largest Six Pack. It is located in La Crosse, after all.
  19. Nobody is going to talk about 1996, the 13th place year, between Acheson and Hickman? I think Linda Lastra (spelling?) almost brought down the corps that year. They seemed to have a smaller corps in '96 and I remember hearing that that the members didn't like the show. ...and, yes, RIP Sarah. Hopefully your spirit is finally free from that building and area.
  20. Years...decades...ago the Madison bassline would play the jingle to Dubuque Ham when the corps was trooping the stands. "Dubuque, Dubuque."
  21. You make good points. I'm just frustrated, that's all. I had higher expectations for this season.
  22. A week and half before the first regional and considering the condition, status, and rank of the Blue Stars pecussion caption; I think they should just ride out the rest of the season with who they have on the field. It s**ks; but how are they going to find exceptionally talented individuals to learn the entire show and fit in like they were there since audition camps? This is the Blue Stars percussion we're talking about; not the Blue Devils. Finding talent is a struggle the way it is for their drumline.
