5. I hear the Spartans are taking offers - get it while the stock value is low!!!
6. Yeah I think that's the year - I remember the local PBS station doing an interview with them at the Riverside CA show - I was like whaaa?
7. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of marching in a jr corps while married to someone who is in that same corps, same year. How many were there??? I think the Freelancer on was the only on I know of.....
8. It seems to me there was a couple in the Freelancers that were married. I'm thinking it was 89... but mighht have been 87, or 88. Does anyone know (just for fun of course) who they were? Did it work out? How many other couples are there that were married when they marched??? Did they get sleeping privlages?? Just wondering..... Of course this excludes senior corps and people who met in corps and eventually got married....there has to be thousands of those....
9. Will they use narration in the parade tomorrow??? (off season)
10. AGREED - 85 was the best - but visually dirty I guess - The Unis were easily 10 years ahead of there time. Remember the pants early tour? - They were too much for DCI to handle. I love that uni and music.
11. hmmmm.......actually turned into a really good thread... too funny!
12. Let me check..... Nope, not lame - Proceed!!! off season blues........
13. I thought you were exagerating too until I read this article this morning from NHL.COM...

NEW YORK -- The game's most dazzling shootout artists will attempt to wow the voting public in the Scotiabank NHL Fan Fav Breakaway Challenge and the classes of 2007-08 and 2008-09 will battle for youthful supremacy when NHL All-Star Weekend gets underway with the 2009 Honda/NHL All-Star SuperSkills Competition Saturday night, Jan. 24, at Montreal's Bell Centre. The realigned NHL YoungStars Game presented by Upper Deck and the fan-judged Scotiabank NHL Fan Fav Breakaway Challenge will join SuperSkills mainstays such as the Bridgestone NHL Fastest Skater, McDonald's NHL Accuracy Shooting and Cisco NHL Hardest Shot competitions to determine the League's best in various disciplines.
14. Simplest by far – BY FAR!! Spelling "SCV" – any college or high school band could do it and it means absolutely nothing. Watching Vanguard do it – PRICELESS!!!
15. This is part of the ongoing evidence that most (not all) Drum Corps directors do not truly manage their drum corps like a business. If they did, we would see more “Marketing Director” positions among the many staff and board of directors. Instead I think they mostly fly by whatever crosses their path and don’t take the power of marketing as seriously as they should. – Again, there are corps that DO, but many do not.
