  1. Come back in about a week and see the full show with the closer/finale now added. You won't be disappointed. :)
  2. I got the idea. I appreciate your response. I really didn't see anything I said being any more "out of place" than what other people said, so that's mostly just my own point of view. I'm not speaking on behalf of anyone but myself, and I apologize to any alumni or fans out there that may think I disrespected my organizations in any way. I feel better now... I'm walking away. (people can still flame me if you'd like... I promise I'm done. :) I give up). *waving the white flag*
  3. I don't believe that saying anything on here is taking anything away from my credentials... it only might take away what someone else sees of myself, but not me. I don't believe that this turned into that. But that's only your "opinion". :) Like I said, I am sorry for all the troubles. But I will not walk away from this just like that... I thought I could, but I'll see if TX will reply to my PM and discuss this with me in private. Sorry y'all had to experience all this. And I appreciate those that are trying to end the madness... however the statement of "taking away from them" as you stated, is not possible in regards to anything I've said thus far. B)
  4. For the record, your tone and implications were enough. The words may not have been typed, but that was your aim. Words like "two brain cells" come to mind. in that case... I'm not done yet. time to keep this going!!! my "tone" - wow... sorry you interpereted it that way. But my tone wasn't as bad as your ignorance. your ignorance was just enough for me to reply with my "tone". thanks!
  5. hahaha... okay, I dug myself into a deep enough hole. time to try and climb back out. this was interesting, but was worth the experience. B) Sorry for offending anyone. I'm obviously not really good at this whole thing and I am just gonna chill. I'm seriously sorry... I don't mean to get the place all in a tiffy. :) edit: and for the record, I never said anything about "stupid", "wrong" or "full of bias".
  6. I like not dealing with it... it gives me something to do with my free time. Thanks for your concern though. :P
  7. So what exactly is the difference? the difference is that one of them requires only about 2 brain cells to do. the other requires the desire to get someone like me agitated!! :P
  8. hey man... I understand what you're saying... I know you're educated and a band director and all that. I think you should take on a job with a corps and arrange them what you believe is a good horn book and music. I'd love to hear your interperetation of it, and what makes the whole world (especially you) go home humming the show. I'm sure you could do it... and I promise, I wouldn't say one thing negative about it. I won't lighten up on this subject... I take offense to people that are ignorant and proceed to act as if they have valid opinions. all you had to say is that you didn't dig the music. I ignore all those posts. But to say you couldn't go home "humming" the music, after several listens to prior to the show, is just ridiculous.
  9. wow dude... so, you think a horn book/music is better when you can go home singing tunes that have been around since friggin' 1974 and previous???? I hate to put you down, but how is coming up with an original show meaning the music is forgettable?? I've been to 2 shows, and I can sing the show top to bottom. And did you ever do any research on the way they designed the shows?? it pretty much IS a soundtrack to a visual show... using a marriage of music to vis to make the most perfect complete package they can. By your comments, I can tell you're not much of a music guy making statements like those. But that's okay. We're not all music people. Hester, I think you need to lighten up here. Not everyone is falling heads over heals over Cavies show. Accept that. Cavies, again, have designed a show that doesn't appeal to the general audience. Not all of us have chosen our paths to be in the music field and thus are "neanderthals" (as you are impling) when it comes to arrangements/compositions. We want shows that are fun to listen to and some part of it can be taken home (the humming part). If the show doesn't do that, then guess what, it didn't connect to the audience, instead it's built around the judges. I, personally, still can't listen to 2002 because it was bad. So get off your high horse and accept the fact that Cavies may be able to play the #### out the piece and might win DCI, it won't be a memorable show. thats okay man... nobody's perfect!

  11. Hi everyone, First of all, I searched and searched through the threads on DCP to find the answer for myself, but there were just too many pages to sift through and I lost my patience. :) Anyway, I was in a debate recently with a friend of mine regarding the 1999 BAC show... where they guard guy at the end throws a huge toss on saber (the big one he caught at the very end of the show) and neither of us are sure exactly what it was... she says it was a 10. I believe it was more like 11 or 12... I'm not a guard guy at all and am not really sure how to "count" the rotations, etc. But is there anyone that knows exactly what it was?? It's not a big priority to find out, but it would be cool to know. Thanks. B) Sorry if this is old news, but I'm still kinda new to the forums. (By the way, whoever that was... awesome job dude). :)
