  1. Even aside from the concept, the show is just not good. Horrible technique, bad staging, bad transitions. There's nothing new or innovative about this show...it's just a lot of things we've seen before arranged into a pretty unimpressive show.
  2. Trumbull - Impeccable training as always and refreshingly simple design without anyone running aimlessly around the floor. It reminds me of the midwest SW guards of the early 2000s Pride - Just wow! Great show, great design, great performers! I would love to see this win in Dayton. I also really enjoy Black Watch and USF
  3. I can confirm! That's a show I can't wait to see again! So nice to see them back to doing what they do best - being beautiful! What a great start they're off to!
  4. That's a matter of opinion. I personally think that if the activity looked the same as it did 20 years ago, it would incredibly boring by now. And I find many of today's shows very exciting and moving - ESPECIALLY the pretty ("boring") shows that a lot of people seem to love to groan about. Whenever I think a show is just plain dull, I stop and think that SOMEONE had to be excited about it enough to design it. ...not to say that keeps me away from the concession stand. I'm sure 10 years from now when colorguard morphs into "performance art" that includes very little spinning or movement, however, I will groaning as well...lol
  5. Stephen Porter - same designer as 2008 WGI SA gold medalist Colonial HS and 2009 SA bronze medalist Lyman HS.
  6. Avon 2007 - The Unanswered Question Pride of Cincinnati 2005 - Everybody Hurts
  7. I hope so! I was really hoping to see : Avon, Carmel, Logan...so much for that! =\
  8. OUCH! We're all entitled to our opinions, but there's no need to be outright nasty!
  9. If it were up to me: SW 1. Avon 2. Carmel 3. James Logan 4. Arcadia 5. Warren Central 6. Flanagan IW 1. Pride 2. Onyx 3. SCV 4. NEi 5. Crown 6. Sac
  10. I can see where you're coming on all accounts especially that Braddock has outstanding GE moments. The never ending rifle ripple! So good! I also think they PERFORMED the most of the evening. But how was Northeast 09 anything like 3 years ago? 2006 was the show with the black floor with boxes on it. I can't see the correlation at all... ?? For the record: "I can see where you're coming" from does necessarily mean I agree. I see Northeast as a top 5 guard, and I would've had Crown over Braddock also.
  11. For what it's worth, I feel worse for the kids that people would discuss their score to such lengths on CGP. At the end of the day, it's just flags in a gym. You never know - they may very well be having a great time, and isn't that more important than scores?
  12. ...well alrighty then... Some of my favorites this year: Avon HS Alter Ego Croatan Emanon Medea Northeast Independent Orchard Park HS Pride of Cincinnati Seminole HS Timber Creek HS USF
  13. Yea no kidding! I don't see the slightest resemblance...
