  1. Sorry about your loss. Best of luck. I would suggest dedicating your season to your mother. It may give you the upper edge and determination to achieve your goal.
  2. I was a snare drummer. I would have loved to play tenors with any early 80's Bridgemen line. However...Crowns tuba line in 09 would be pretty cool.
  3. Phantom won in 2008. Constantly Risking Absurdity was a close second.
  4. As much as I want to see it and love B.D. I think some new blood will be 1st. C.C.
  5. The corps you speak of is all drum corps. Not just a single corps. I am the director of St. John's in Brantford Ontario. What you are talking about is part of our mission statement.
  6. I think it has more to do with having something for alumni that still have the competative edge in them.
  7. I think that if one has the means to march anywhere ie, could make the cut and had financial backing. The choice would always be selection of music followed by staff. I am a huge B.D. fan. If their staff is who it is now (which IMHO) is the best the activity has to offer at this time but played "dark" music which I am not a fan of. I would look elsewhere...C.C. or possibly Boston who is very much on the upswing right now, building on and excellent 2009 season. That would be a fun corps to be with right now I think.
  8. Maybe talk to alumni from both corps. Getting opinions from them may help give you a better idea of what you are looking for in a drum corps. Both corps are very rich in history and are very good. Like one poster said. Cavies tend to like to have more fun. I have a friend who marched Cavs for 5 years and was their percussion section leader untill 2000. he would not change a thing about his experience.
