What an awesome thing to do Ron!! For the care package.... I agree with the socks! I've got a care package on my table getting ready to mail it out tomorrow to my favorite Blue Star...... it has a couple of clean shirts, new socks, a fathers day card with a stamp on it so he can send it back to his dad, beef jerky, peanuts, gum, pringles potato chips, individual tide laundry soap, quarters, peanut butter and honey crackers, gatoraide drink mix, chocolate peanut butter packets, clif bars, and a "hope you are having the time of your life" card in it from Mom & Dad! I know mine likes getting high protein snacks!

I guess to each his own. I personally loved that part of the show... just the way it was. Made me cry every time. Now as for 2010...... I can't wait to see this show!!! Go Blue Stars!!

I talked to my son earlier today, and he said it was the worst and most scary storm he's ever seen. The good news is that all the kids are safe and the only thing that got hurt... are things that can be replaced! Thank you so much for the outpouring of support from the Drum Corps community to support the Blue Stars as they work to rebuild before Thursday's Quarterfinals. I know that my son will take away many incredible memories from his 3rd season with the Blue Stars and the "big storm" and "rally of support" right before finals will be one of them! Good Luck to all the Corps participating in finals this year.... and Go Blue Stars!!
