  1. LOL....the she is a he btw BRASSO...guess I'm stuck with that name....LOL
  2. yep as I said before..old faithful or old reliable...
  3. Contact each corps individually and find out their auditioning procedures. They are all different. Hope this helps.
  4. I'm going with reliable Glassmen for finals....even though I'd love to see either SOA, The Academy,Colts Crossmen, or Troopers there...unfortuanately they can't all make it...
  5. I actually don't mind an intermission with just 6 corps...as long as it's not a long one....gives me a chance to get up and stretch a bit etc.
  6. I look at clearwater as a spring training area just like any other sports franchise from the northeast. It sure is nice they have an actual facility to train. I'm jealous a bit. Our hornline practiced weekends at the Massachusetts Envelop Company (a.k.a. Mass Envelope) with a bunch of boxes everywhere and then just before tour at the Fargo (government building) parking lot for drill! And it was not fun stopping on sticky TAR in the hot heat!
  7. I'll set the record straight..I marched with them...it is definitely... Boston Area Crusaders Thank you
  8. I'm with you on that one... crossing fingers
  9. We don't Gava! I'm used to seeing these predictions with Boston in the 11th spot..so it doesn't bug me one bit...it's only Minn and not Indy anyway...of course that's why these predictions don't mean all that much either...
  10. Absolutely Fantastic! I was totally surprised by this post. I gave you a nice positive reputation vote for this one
  11. It's nice to see that everyone is comparing in a nice way and not the usual they ripped them off posts I'm used to seeing on here over the years... It's also funny thing for me, but the Cadets 89' show was a HUGE reason I decided to march drum corps in the first place. The very next year I marched Boston in 1990 as a rookie. I always wanted to march Cadets, but because I had such a wonderful time in Boston...I decided to stay and age out with the Crusaders in 91' instead.
  12. NOT true for everyone...I enjoyed 3 shows in June this year...to each his own.
  13. ...and I also agree that there should be medical people standing by at ALL SHOWS for safety reasons..that is just plain common sense... edit: decided to remove comments...In retrospect...I probably should have kept my mouth shut in the first place
  14. Hope the young man/woman is doing better though. edit: decided to remove comments...In retrospect...I probably should have kept my mouth shut in the first place
  15. Boston 1st in GE visual, Visual Ensemble, and Percussion.... Keep working it!
  16. I just looked at that sample sheet...and for Music effect it says "Evaluate the effectiveness of the program and the performers. The ability to maintain a connection with the audience through a combination of components contributes to effect. The performers are measured in part through excellence but, more significantly, in their ability to communicate the product to the audience." This really makes me
  17. Not true on the weight thing...with proper exercise..diet and dedication you could potential drop 100 pounds or more in 10 months...don't loose more than 1% of your total body weight a week though as it's not very healthy...so if your 280 that's 2.8 pounds a week at the most average. You will loose more in the beginning of course...For that weight and height you can start with probably a 2200 calorie diet and drop the caloric level down in stages so you don't plateau...you might also considering working with a personal trainer who knows your goals and also understands diet and nutrition....if you or your parents can afford it. Disclaimer: I am not MD, dietitian, or personal trainer myself, but I have achieved this goal before personally myself. It is possible! I also recommend you see a doctor first before you undertake any of these suggestions.
  18. For the record since nero14 didn't think I was serious...I was as serious as a heart attack (thanks craiga)...Historically Debbie Torchia has NOT liked Boston all that much. Tonight was another matter.
  19. I can't think of any valid reasons though...
