Boston Crusaders.. oh my goodness.. where do we begin to congratulate you for such a fantastic season ?... What a fabulously entertaining, well crafted show . One could watch this show 5 times live and still  not pick up all the great things going on simultaneously in each corps section in it.

Such a historic season for your Corps.

Highest placement ever... a 2nd place Silver Medal with your highest DCI Score ever... and done when it was needed and counted the most, on Finals Night.  97.325. .

3 years consecutive of winning of the Zingali Award for best Guard in DCI.

2nd place finish in Brass on Finals Night. Outstanding dynamics , control, and balance on display among your brass line playing this season, imo.

A quick look back on the recent road to get to 2nd place :

    2016...12.85 points away from 1st place ( Bluecoats )

2017....5.58 points away from 1st place ( Blue Devils )

    2018....4.32 points away from 1st place  ( SCV )

2019...3.83 points away from 1st place  ( Blue Devils )

    ( 2020-21... no scored shows )

2022....1.43 points away from 1st place ( Blue Devils )

Nice trajectory Boston Crusaders.  Your long time fans and Alums are so happy for you.  Congrats Again !

I second every word said here!

I am just so happy for the members, volunteers, staff, parents, alums, friends, and family of this organization!

Wouldn't it be fall from grace?

Agree in point. Well I was thinking more along the lines of paradise found or should I say "Paradise Regained", which is another poem by John Milton that shares similar theological themes. However, Paradise Regained deals primarily with the temptation of Christ as recounted in the Gospel of Luke.

  3. Hello BAC,

I am going on record before you perform as to not caring what happens tonight placement wise.  No matter where you end up as far as I see it, you are a huge success already.

    You are all GIANTS!

I've been following you every single year since I marched in the early 90's wearing that iconic red and black uniform. Watching you shatter record after record this season has been a real personal treat as an alum.  I feel as if I am right there with each and every one of you showing all to see and hear what Boston Crusaders really means to all of us.

A winner never quits and a quitter never wins!

Really do not like the use of Louis Armstrong's It's a wonderful life here in this show --

Louie Armstrong's song was about positive hope for a world that could be better -

BAC's use is a cynical look back at a fallen world

The Garden of Eden became a place of atonement and hope. The sin of Adam and Eve was met with God’s judgment, but in the midst of the judgment was mercy.

Also of note…something I recently noticed (may be kind of newer addition) is the battle of good/evil and death of Christ in front of the company front. In the poem, Archangel Michael shows Adam these events before they are cast out of Eden.

Perhaps a foreboding as well of next years show. Paradise Regained a poem by John Milton. Dealing with the temptations of Christ. Who knows. I sure don't. As good an idea as any...
