Santa Clara was on FIRE tonight. It's a fabulous show from a musical perspective. The visual program is pretty good too. What a classy ending. This is a show that for so long felt unfinished...and now it feels very complete. Their percussion sounded fabulous to me. Musically this is a show I can listen to a lot over the off season, just like with Cadets, Phantom, Troopers and the top 4 we are about to hear. Let's see how this scores tonight but I thought they were even better tonight.

SCV is just one of those corps that tells the others...you best bring your A game...

Fantastic run by The Cadets tonight! What a SHOW! I think they can notch this show up one more level tomorrow night. The show is so Cadets. I truly love just about everything in this show. The use of the field is classic Cadets. The brass arrangements by Jay Bocook are just incredible. He is a master at this kind of stuff. This corps should recruit incredibly well over the next few years.

Bocook is probably my favorite brass arranger in the activity.  And the cadets do such a wonderful and masterful job with his music!

Looks like Blair is using almost exactly the same shot selection and timing as yesterday.   It's very good,  but I do wish he focused on a few highlights he missed yesterday.  Hope he gets them on Sat.  Ok, did much better on the Cadets crazy bar scene today.   Maybe he did review yesterday.

That man works his arse off ...I was at a  show several years back now where I asked him (A-town)...why all the written notes?...He said, he was just getting ready for finals week!

people still should at least TRY to give those kids the time of day. behavior like that drive people away from music activities and kills passion and drive. as a performer i expect MUCH better of an audience. it's like buying tickets to a how and only going when the top corps perform. it's rude and disrespectful and has no place in this activity.

Well if you want to go down this route...Unfortunately, the reality is some parents just drop and pick up their kids from practice. Never watching them even practice or going to a show...Yes, this is an unfortunate reality as well...

I am heart-broken for those kids...

I think I remember some saying they needed a moment after Phantom finished. That's true tonight, again! Phantom Regiment is SOOOOOOOO Good! I just love every second of this show, and they were cookin' tonight. Now is when DCI could have used a 10 minute break so I can walk off the excitement that is rushing down my veins and wait for the goosebumps to calm. Way to go, Phantom!

No kidding!  That got my adrenaline running bigtime!
