  1. Do you still have any of the brass?
  2. The East Coast Jazz is selling its current uniforms. There are 90 plus in sizes from XXL to small. They are primarily forest green and white with red trim. The uniforms are washable. Some have never been worn. They are in good condition. These uniformas are ideal for a school or independent group that wants a new look at a reasonable price. The corps will sell them only as a complete lot at $80.00 each for a total of $7,200.00. Anyone interseted can go to www.eastcoastjazz.org to view pictures. Contact Tom Chopelas @ 781-235-0137. The buyer must pay freight or pick them up in person in Malden, MA.
  3. Are any of these tubas still available?
  4. Is any of this equipment still available?
  5. Your post has a different date than the subject title. It is confusing as to which date is accurate, the 20th or 27th. The mods can fix the title if it is wrong

  6. The East Coast Jazz will host an open house on November 27 at noon at a location to be announced. Prospective members for all sections should make it a point to be there. Meet with staff and management. Get the scoop on plans for 2012. Go to www.eastcoastjazz.org to enroll.
  7. The inclusion of The Raiders in the show line up was an error that resulted from a misunderstanding in a telephone call.
  8. The corps has reached a point with the state lottery that a new bingo permit is likely. The corps will be accepting inquiries about membership now.
  9. Sorry about that. The hall holds 195. We can expect about $30,000 - $35,000 after all those expenses you enumerate.
  10. The Malden City Council gave its approval for East Coast Jazz to operate a bingo game on Sunday nights at the VFW hall in Malden. It took a year for the corpr to get through the council process but, thanks to our board president John Preziosa's persistence, the result was very positive. The vote went 9 yes to 2 no. The next step will be convincing the Mass Lottery Comission to issue the license after all the problems in 2006 caused by the passage of the statewide, indoor non-smoking law. The VFW is located next door to Malden Catholic High School that draws 675 people every Sunday afternoon. There should be a lot players looking for a "double header".
  11. One of the most successful bingo games in the state is operated by Malden Catholic HS, drawing 675 people on Sunday afternoons. The East Coast bingo is planned for Sunday evenings at the VFW hall only two buildings away. When MC bingo lets out EC will be opening its doors. These two bingos operated this way for 20 years with great success. The hope is for $30,000 a year. There are a half dozen bingos in the area that are still making money.
  12. It's usuallly the West Coast that gets the benefit of early season inflation. But, the small lineup could have had something to do with it. Plus, you have to be able to keep up as the season progresses. They didn't last year.
