  1. doesnt it not happen till after or during their winter meetings? so i would figure out when those are then wait
  2. i asked 'did people put serious thought into their lists?' and it told me 'very doubtful'
  3. government bailout anybody? i dont understand isnt boa highschool marching bands? and i remember in hs that we never did boa because the enterance fee was huge, people didnt take it that seriously, and the wait to get in was years
  4. i didnt subscribe, but from what i gathered here on dcp, didnt they usually have the shows up within 48hours of the actual show? i wont subscribe, because i plan on marching like others, but maybe my parents would. would they(dci fannetwork) have tiers of it(fannetwork)? like one in hd for people who have hdtv's and one in just standard def for those who dont? then charge a difference in price.
  5. in the beginning of the season, they hadnt had all the emotional build up to it that came about towards the end of the season and it was just another show. i dont remember it being as intense of a show as it was when i saw it in san antonio as it was in normal. then i knew something was different about it. in the beginning they had the live or die thing from the drum marjor that got a mixed response.
  6. now i wonder, how many have put serious thought into their "prediction" and how many just pulled the list out of thin air
  7. he did something like a peace sign kissed it touched his heart then pointed up. or he did a little side skip down the 1st baseline. being from ca. st. louis, im surprised you dont know about that(mcgwire being on the cardinals and it was practically forced upon everyone who lives in or around stl.), but then if your in hs, you were at most 7 or 8 when it went on, which makes him old edit: or for the first pic if its an 'X' right click and click show picture, in case you didnt already know.
  8. oh no my life has completely changed, i dont know how to live anymore!!
  9. i wonder what the neighbors think about him doing these videos... running down the street in a scream mask hitting cymbals, or across the lake. hilarious the guy is really talented, thats for sure
  10. well before someone said the colors were teal and copper, i thought it would be more of a mud color. but if its closer to a real copper then itll look cool. and thats only from a drawing and i said i liked the white pants with black top.
  11. isnt it funny how people are practically begging for phantom to go back to black, but for corps like pac crest, theyre saying no to it? my favorite was the black with the teal triangle on the stomach. white or black pants, but the white pants could have done something a tad bit different for where the top stopped and pants began. now for the new, it looks like they have some type of sword on their shakos, its different. but i dont understand the almost brown color. it better not be too offensive. i like the embroid the person who donates name on the jacket. thats cool. similar to something i saw in the past where people who donated got to engrave something on to the horns
  12. bump is over used, but it is the proper term... i dared to be different? karate chop
  13. ive heard so many variations of the same songs that people could probably play the same song many years in a row before people got truly annoyed
  14. depending on how the season goes for the colts this year, it might set up a new way that the corps that usually place lower, not top 8, do business during the winter. maybe the colts not holding till late will be the best thing going for them. they might get all the people who were cut from other corps, specifically the 4 mentioned earlier, who have a chip on their shoulders to prove something to the corps they got cut from, which will lead them to doing much better than expected. did that make sense? its probably not the camps that help the corps the most, its probably the attitude the members have towards the season that determines where they really place. if you want something badly enough, youll get it. the amount of time practiced isnt as important as the quality of practice had. is it impossible for a corps whose had less practice to place higher than a corps whose had much more practice? the colts are bound for something great this year. the past 2 years i have taken notice to them and have learned to greatly appreciate the music they perform, which doesnt really mean anything i guess. anyways they always seem to perform holding their heads high and with a lot of pride.
  15. scouts will place higher in music than anyone here could imagine, or be willing to admit to thinking. id say brass is top 6 for scouts
  16. theres a show on am radio called "when radio was" it features old radio shows from waaaaaaaaaaaay back when. now i know your asking, what is an almost 20yr old doing listening to old radio shows? well i stumbled across it one night and thought it was pretty funny. then i started listening to the opening theme songs and closing theme songs and began thinking there are some really recognizable pieces of music or fun music or music that would just sound incredible with a 70+piece hornline playing them. then since theyre old, maybe they would be easy to get rights to play the music? so theres my idea, old radio show themes. over the bowl season, tv had clips of the halftime shows and one of the college bands was playing avenged sevenfold... awesome. now a corps needs to get into that genre. academy, colts, or crossmen maybe? edit:it was usc and they played almost easy. win
  17. what if the typical 8-12th arent there this year and are replaced by the guys that are always right on the edge of 12th? so: 8)Madison 9)Spirit 10)Colts 11)Crossmen 12)Glassmen instead of: 8)BK 9)Boston 10)Blue Stars (even tho they arent "typical" in 8-12 spot) 11)Madison 12)Crossmen (understand?) it would a break from the norm. but bring on the intensity that there was last year. it probably made all the shows that much better when each corps knew if they didnt bring their "A" game every night, they could be in the stands instead of on the field on saturday night
  18. in hs, i marched on a field that was being resodded or it just rained so much the past week, yet they still had the competition, that the entire field was mud. nothing like hitting a spot then sliding a few inches because the ground your on isnt solid or everytime you take a step worrying about losing your shoe to the mud.
  19. 1) crowns - closer-trying to pick out each song they were playing in the round and wondering who thought that they would all go together 2) bluecoats - singing boxer only thing made me mad was the crowd was going nuts and you couldnt hear half the singing. 3) scouts- line turn 4) phantom- spartacus yell and mello solo, EPIC 5) cavaliers - the jump other than that their show seemed, whats the word? boring maybe to me
  20. ill bite and do top 8: 1)phantom 2)cadets 3)cavaliers 4)bd 5)scv 6)bluecoats 7)crown 8)bac but in reality it seems that anyone will finish anywhere this season. of course not everyone will be top 5, but battles throughout the placements will be there all year like last.
