Crowds do not judge. Maybe there is a "conspiracy". A bigger drumline and a quality guard could make the difference... IMHO.

How could Kilts go up 6 pts, and MBI only go up 2 from last week in Racine? Was MBI flat?Or did the Kilts get that much better? Kate -
So you do stack up!!!!!!
-
But the top five hasn't seen MBI either. Great reasoning Kate

Good point,Piper. What's next?

Just a thought(no flaming intended). Was it workable for the Kilties to make the trip to Scranton? It may have given the East Coast a chance to see the Midwest's only other Open Class unit in DCA before finals Again, no flaming intended. Kate

I saw MBI in 1986 at DCA. I knew that they were an up and coming corps. MBI cracked the top ten that year and it has been on good ride since. Will be going to DCA this year. Good luck in Scranton. Kate

Madison Contest Tonight Question
dci72 replied to mwetzel1's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
"That's news to me. Yes, we did have two performances this evening with the marching band show as a exhibition but not the Madison show last we heard; as told we were to be on DCA sheets. Either way, The Kilties love to perform, and if the fans liked it......that's all good stuff; they pay for the tickets. The fans were GREAT at both events this evening, and the corps had a GREAT time performing for them. Personally, I'll take 4 to 5 spontaneous thunderous "standing O's" over any score. If one works hard, is dedicated, and focuses on doing the very best possible as individuals and a performing ensemble........good things tend to happen on their own." The quote above was from Bill Roetzer,Racine Kilties. I was just using his post for the Kilties DCA status. -

Standing O's are great but does that translate in top 10 DCA status? IMHO Kate -
How many Michael Jackson tribute shows next year?
dci72 replied to TomPeashey's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
I would hope NO corps would perform a all MJ show. But someone will, and all will toady along. Kate. -
Back in jr corps,we were in PA and the toliets overflowed. The drivers forgot to empty it. You do not want the rest of the story. Had to suffer for about 30 min until the next stop. BTW, we were in the mountains. Kate

Hard to say because I never marched Sr. Corps(have to be PC: All Age Corps). But most of my friends who did march and to give up the activity have helped out with support staff and they have been appreicated. There are a few who has been dissed and they have felt persona non grata when they have visited their particular corps. One corps in particular has been very disdained towards ex members. No flaming here. Just offering my take of what others have told me and seeing it before my own eyes. Kate
