  1. I was thinking the same thing, but those Devils seem to stay close to home and look what that gets them!
  2. I remember that show....Loved it! The hornline...the guard..I thought they were going to be the next big thing!
  3. Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne? Asked a Kiltie what he wore under his skirt once. "A lot of pride" he answered. Respect
  4. The corp with the best prop usage will win! Any corps with tarps or usage of a massive amount of fabric will not.
  5. This is beyond a great call! Jim Ott arrangements before he became THE Jim Ott!!!!! Someone should create a library of Hall of Fame designers formative years. Either as performers or rookie designers. Let us see and learn the lineage of what we do.
  6. Like 73!!!!! But there was only California corps in finals that year. Commodores, SCV, AND Kingsmen. Mad respect to old school. No need for amplification, two pistons, or a pit
  7. YES! Shades of Blue Devils, Santa Clara Vanguard, Sacramento Freelancers, and Velvet Knights!
  8. Santa Bluvaliers of Cook County! (Actually, in 1980 I recall the Regiment staff shirts read Rockford, California.)
  9. Is that you're kid? Thank you for sharing his talents!
  10. Since I fell for you.... The black (and gray) devils!
  11. Right now I wish I was on the track on the 40......bathing in sound in a moment.
  12. They've choked him, They've hung him once, and now they're cutting him...Why don't they just do like Boston. Cut his head off and stack it up on one of the bungee towers with the rest of them....
  13. Next time you're at eastman, go up to that tick and say, "Awesome, thanks for keeping it real." I'm sure any professional would love that.
  14. On flo it sounded like a sample from the corps...we''re you there?...Are you sure it was the audience?
  15. I just got on the page thinking...Am I missing something? Bloo's not holding the fire I saw when I saw them earlier...Glad other's are seeing as well. and....I'm getting tired of all of the samples....I'm missing last years singer.
  16. Those moments when Carolina Crown plays fffffffff! (First note of show, First note of Ballad hit)
  17. Of all people to call this question! The original sound genius of drum corps! Maybe a more important question is, “is drum corps moving to a more processed sound?” And in fact, moving totally away from the incredible “State of the Art” recordings of the 80s. With the success of the recent top ensembles (primarily Bluecoats) it would seem the age of audio transparency is gone.
