  4. hhmmmm of course all the 90's shows. 00, 01,02 and 04 are awesome. one really good show is 89 i think? i havent seen it in a while. or 88. didnt make finals but its great
  5. ASICS! best shoes i've ever had. didnt tear or anything. those or NB but i like asics .
  6. hmm nothing serious with me. got shin splints in 07 on both legs which affected me in 09 when we were doing basics like @ 200 or so. my legs got really stiff and couldnt really march so i would strech them out. this isnt a drum corps injury but i also had a wisdom tooth come in during all days.worst pain EVER! went to the dentist one day and pulled it out and was on vicodin for the next few days which was great.
  7. lol holy crap. this is gonna be great. he's gonna be droppin f bombs all over the place. i wanna hear this
  8. yea i don't think that'll happen. i know drumcorps is a great activity but alot of people do want to be done with it. people actually want to have money in thier bank accounts.. that and after doing drumcorps after many years your body starts to breakdown i guess u could say. i know plenty of people with injuries because of drumcorps. also, can u imagine not having a age out ceremony for a few years? it'll just be weird.
  9. i went to the one in laredo tx. it was pretty lame. the countdown started off pretty good. it was a too soft but i didn't mind i guess. then half way through the bluecoats performace the picture went out but the audio went out. then about 10 mins later someone from the movies said that the light blub in the projector blew and they had to get another one and it would take 5 mins. well 5 mins turned in about 20 or 25 then it finally come on but they put it on again from the beginning. but after that nothing else happened. but it kinda sucked.
  10. toooo many to choose 89- lead sops were AMAZING this year 90- great 91- awesome drumline. really groovy 92- one of the best shows EVER! BCE 97- gotta love birdland 00- really underrated. the hornline was great. 01- gotta agree with joesph on this one. the soloist were great 02- great opener. makes u want to jam 04-i love everything about this show. one of the greatest ballad every played. bsacially this show was a tribute to all crossmen.
  11. 92 crossmen! hands down 97 crossmen is a close 2nd
  12. well from what i've been told there are actually alot more people that got to drum corps shows now than they did back in the 80 s and 90's. or so i've been told from people that have marched in those era's. As for people not marching because they get burnt out i don't think it's true. don't get me wrong drill is very hard but a few weeks after being home im sure they want to get back on the field. The main reason alot of people don't march year after year is because tour fee's are alot higher now than they were then. I know in the 90's tour fee's for drum corps were about 600 - 800 from what i've been told. now they've doubled or tripled, depends on the corp you're marching. think about it, let's just say your tour fee's are 2,100 plus airline tickets it'll come out to roughly 3,500 maybe more? depending where you're flying from. that's ALOT of money. alot of kids can't afford it. but one thing i do agree with is that some shows aretoo complex to understand that alot of people don't enjoy the music that the members are playing. but thats just my 2 cents.
  13. i thought the movie was great. it showed what drum corps members actualy go through. i was actually hoping that it would show in the lot stuff and the finals show. but oh well
