  1. irc - there were several head-to-head scores between SCV and BD during the season that were .05 apart (just as they were in Semifinals btw)... So, perhaps the 3 tenths lower score given for Quarters was the real outlier, and what Jeff gave BD for Finals was actually right in line with where they should have been (and he just gave them the tiniest edge when compared to SCV on that night).
  2. Thanks for the heads-up mfrontz - I confirmed that monthly still wasn't available on my computer but just logged in on my phone and went in to renew my PRO account, and sure enough, there it was - Monthly! 29.99, so I got it. I should have just plunked down the full 150 tonight and cancelled Sun Aug 11 (which only would have cost 12.50 for the month) just because "Briana" told me [and KRtrumpet?] that it wasn't even available... but, I didn't.
  3. FYI - here is the message I received from FloMarching when I asked about a monthly subscription the other day (after only seeing the annual membership and no longer seeing the monthly subscription option as I had last year): Briana (Customer Support) Jul 7, 11:09 CDT Good morning, Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, at this time FloMarching only offers a yearly subscription that is billed annually and paid in one lump sum.
  4. Yep - it's all better now, and I had been logging out and back in for about 2 hours. There definitely was a problem for a little while, but we're back in business... watching the Allentown 2010 shows now :)
  5. Same here, and I've checked with 2 other friends who are experiencing the same thing - we can login, but no vids from this year OR prior years are accessible. It looks like that note we read somwehere about vids not being available finals week meant just that - no vids at all... bummer. As for the $90 deal to upgrade - DVD's have been $99 the first year available, $69 the next year, then $49 after 2 years, so I'd say it's a good deal if you've got the money and want them as soon as possible. fyi - on DCI's home page it says that everyone/anyone (no Fan Network required) will have access to retreat and score announcements (around 10:30pm), but nothing live was ever planned for today.
  6. I don't have the apd's - so if you want to ignore the rest of my comments, then I'll understand... ;) But, I was there - it was foggy, damp, and misting for the entire show. There were weird sounds and pops coming from everyone's electronics (maybe wet connections?), the keyboards were a bit muffled (the keys don't really like being covered with water and just don't sound 'right' - ya know?), and it generally wasn't a great night for the sound (esp. perc) to carry very well. The corps ALL did a great job to put on the show for us in those conditions (Thank you! - after a 3hr drive, we would have been seriously bummed had it been cancelled), but honestly, it was a hard night for the members to get 'up' for and to perform in. I usually buy the newer apd's all season long to hear the changes to everyone's show as their season progresses, but I'm gonna pass on these. If you want to throw a couple of bucks to the corps who were there and buy them, go ahead (I'm sure it would be appreciated). But, if you are buying them for "quality of sound" reasons to hear those few shows - I'd wait. Just my 2 cents.
  7. So, if we could get back to this thread's original question, assuming that we can start from a base point of fact: Star was a drum corps that chose to take it's toys somewhere else to play... How is the "Star situation" a failure of DCI?
