  1. My vote for that is YES!!!!! As someone who marched in OC for several years, I think it's a great idea!
  2. At the live broadcast of Prelims last night, they were talking to I think it was the drill writer for Cadets, and he said the drum line spent about 2-2.5 weeks closing the hole. And in the blog that johnnyboy posted mentions that the drumline basically gave up some free time to continue working on the drill. Majoy kudos to them! p.s.- LOVE the show! I hope they win over Blue Devils (and not just because I know abunch of people marching with Cadets this year ).
  3. So I was at a movie theater for the live broadcast of the top 15 at Prelims. I forgot who it is now, but I noticed that a "finalist" corps (I put finalist in " because obviously they're not in finals yet, but were in a placement to make finals), and at the end of their show, there was a tenor who had his drums up at the end of the show when he should be playing? If anyone else noticed this, who was it again (which corps)? Also, does any one have any inside information as to why he had his drums up and not playing? I'm thinking maybe the harness broke somehow, or he broke all of his sticks and just had nothing to play with, or he hurt his wrist? Also, while they were showing the recap of Pioneer, I noticed they didn't even have a tenor line...? Again, does anyone have any insider information as to why?
  4. I saw the Cadets perform in Lawrence, MA on August 4th (great show, by the way ), and I thought they had eight snares in the show, four angels and four demons. Then I saw the Cadets again in East Rutherford, NJ at the Tour of Champions show on Sunday, August 8th and I only saw seven snares, four demons and three angels. But during their performance on Sunday, I never notived a hole in the snare/drum lines, wheather the entire line was together or seperated. So I was wondering, have they had seven snares all season, and I was just mistaken on Thursday in Lawrence, or at somepoint after the Lawrence show did they lose a snare drummer?
  5. That really is too bad. Was last season (2010) their first year out as a drum corps? I noticed their website mentioned 5 years as an indoor ensemble...
  6. I have not heard either way, but I hope fine. I'm still not over the guitars (I don't think I'll ever be over the guitars.) If they do...
  7. Yea, of course that too. It's tough to start up a new corps.
  8. I sure hope this corps can get off the ground. All of the best of luck to them!
  9. I need help! I am unable to select my captions for Feenicks and INT because the only option I can choose for each is Blue Devils 2011, which puts me over the limit for the number of points available- I don't know if anyone else ran into this problem. Also, with the new thing of the tour (only touring the region of the country the corps comes from or something like that), will the corps directors still select each corps tour, or will it be selected automatically?
  10. Umm... What is "almost, if not exactly, all of them"?
  11. Since we're putting in requests- Can there be a "How many previous finalists that haven't been in finals recently but will be this year" option. lol

  13. Did all 11 of the other snares come from the front ensemble?
  14. So I just saw a video on DCI's website of the Bluecoats percussion feature from 1988, and saw that they ended it with 20 snares (alot more than what they started with). So, I thought maybe the tenors and cymbals switched to snare, so I watched the video again, and counted 9 snares, 5 cymbals and 5 tenors which would only be 19 snares at the end. So I was wondering if anyone knew where the last snare came from? Or if it wasn't even the tenors and cymbals that switched but someone else?
  15. Totally awesome! I aged out of DCI in 2009 (after eight seasons) and marched in DCA last summer, and plan on going back this year.
  16. Yea, not new at all. In 2008 I know Blue Stars had four basses at finals. I assumed they had five originally and lost one because in the beginning of the show (I forget how far in) when the corps forms a 'wheel', with the guard in a circle nd the horn and drumlines as the spokes, the drumline is in a horizontal line and it seems like there's a hole between bass four and the circle. Can a member of the 2008 Blue Stars confirm or deny the fact that they lost a bass drummer?
  17. Yea, I figured it was an illness or injury. But like I said I have not been on in awhile, so I don't know if it's been talk about. Also, I noticed that Cadets and Glassmen only had four basses in finals... did they start with four basses, or start with five and lost one?
